The Same But Different

Challenges

Sunday Sketch & Stamp (132) - Sketch
Charisma Cardz (45) - Cool Colours

Here is a different card using the same stamps as the one in the previous post.  Instead of black and white this one is done in royal blue and white and following a different sketch.  This time I have only glittered the holly berries and stars.  So... which one do you prefer, if any?  Anyway, hope you like it, thanks for looking.

Sketch & Stash (100) - Free Choice Sketch (1)
Passion For Promarkers (175) - Stars
Charisma Cardz (45) - Cool Colours
Totally Papercrafts (143) - Clean & Simple/Black & White

I have tried to do CAS cards in the past and failed miserably as I can't resist adding all sorts of embellishments.  I hope this time I have managed it.

Following the great sketch I started by adding some of my new tartan ribbon.  I then stamped the sentiment and holly corner.  I was only going to glitter the holly berries but as the ink wasn't quite dry the glitter stuck to it and it ended up glittered all over.  I must admit I like the effect so did one of the words on the sentiment.  The image has been coloured with promarkers and I have added glitter to the stars.  This is the first time I have used this one but now I know it it won't be the last time.  Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

Over at Crafty Creations this week our challenge theme is 'By Invitation Only'. We would like to see all sorts of invitations such as party, christening, wedding etc. This time our lovely sponsor is Digi's With Attitude who has kindly donated a great prize for one lucky winner.

Here is a 'clean and simple' invitation that is suitable for many occassions. The rose and sentiment are stamped with a Versacolor Multi Inkpad and the rose has been simply layered with nesties.

Purple Rose

Challenges
Sunday Sketch & Stamp (1) - Sketch
Stamp Something - Something with showers or flowers
Cute Daisy May (9) - Gems
It's a long time since I have used this gorgeous rose stamp so I thought it could do with an airing. I have stamped the image using a Versacolor inkpad called Wild Berries which has five shades of the same colour to it. I punched the flowers and leaves and added gems to the centres. The little gems are in fact hair decorations that my good friend Michael found and sent me. Thank you very much Michael. Down the side, and the bow, is white satin ribbon which I recoloured using peel-off pens.

Cute Card Challenge (54)

This week's challenge is to use 'Citrus' colours so thinking of oranges, lemons & limes I came up with this. This is one of my favourite stamps which I have coloured with chalks. Underneath the image I 'shadow' stamped two squares with versamark. In the corners and around the edges I used peel-offs that I coloured with marker pens.

Rosy Wedding (3 Challenges)

Challenges

Cute Card (51) - Sketch (Celebration)
Secret Crafter (23) - Have Your Cake & Eat It
Papertake - Feeling Fruity

I started this one by covering a square of card with the rose paper. To this I added a small square of pearl card to the top right corner and then some silver ribbon down the middle. Next came a rectangle of pearl card which I punched a lacy edge and added more ribbon. I stamped the sentiment onto a circle of card and punched a little heart below it. I inked the edge of the circle and heart, layered it using nesties, attached with D/S tape and added the roses. I then stamped the cake and coloured it with MLP pens before rounding the corners and inking the edges. I punched a slot and added the ribbon before securing with foam pads. Finally I added glitter glue to the ribbons on the cake.
