Patchwork Owl

Today's card features one of my favourite Woodware stamps which I have paper pieced and added goggle eyes.  The papers are old ones from My Mind's Eye.  The paper flowers are from my stash along with the gems in the centres.

Ooops!

I have made a boy's card today featuring an LOTV stamp which I have coloured with promarkers.  The papers are old magazine freebies and the sentiments are computer generated.  The little 'chill out' sentiment is from Woodware though.  At last I found a use for some old square gems that have been knocking about for ages.  Hooray!

Kind Hearts...

Ok, so I have made another card I didn't think I would have time to make.

For this one I have used one of my favourite quote from Woodware.  Love this gorgeous digi stamp from Besties, just look at that hair!!!  I have coloured her with promarkers, fussy cut her and attached with foam pads.  The flower, leaves and pearl brad are from my stash and are years old.  I coloured the paper flower with a promarker and sprayed it with glimmer mist (another long lost find).

Floral

Here is a pretty little card I have made using Woodware stamps.  First I embossed the background using one of my dies and then fussy cut it out.  I then stamped the flowers and coloured them with promarkers.  After attaching to the base card with foam pads I added some gems around the edge.  The sentiment is simply stamped and layered with die cut panels and a little ribbon bow added.  Finally a few card candi in the corners finishes the card.

Have A Hoot...

Here is a cute little owl from Woodware.  He has been stamped and coloured with promarkers and then fussy cut.  The branch and flowers also.  The sentiment is simply stamped and layered using dies.  I can't remember for the life of me where the background papers came from, but aren't they a gorgeous mint green?

Kind Hearts

Today I have made a base card and added a die cut border from a very old Cuttlebug die (do you remember it?), I then added some punched flowers with a bit of stickles in the centres.

Next I embossed the white card using a Marianne die and chalked it.  I then stamped the sentiment from Woodware.  Finally, I added a few punched butterflies and also added some stickles to them.

Today I have made a one layer card by first stamping and heat embossing my image directly onto the base card.  I then coloured it using chalk, pencil and a touch of glitter glue.  I then added a sentiment and tied an organza ribbon along the fold.  Finally I added a butterfly charm that I made with friendly plastic.  Do you remember friendly plastic?  I don't think anyone uses it these days and not sure if you can still buy it.  I am pleased with how this one came out considering I was just playing around with a new stamp.  Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

Here's another card made with magazine freebies.  This time using the papers that came with the stamps and following a design in the magazine, but altering it slightly.  This time the owl was stamped onto pink and aqua green cardstock using a brown inkpad.  I then coloured in bits with promarkers, distressed the edges with ink and added gems to the eyes.  I also distressed all the other edges.  Before attaching I backed the image with a lace doily.  The little bird at the top was cut from some of the paper.  Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

This week I have got carried away playing with some magazine freebies that I found lying around.  Here is the first of the cards I made with them.  I have coloured the image with promarkers and chalk and decoupaged the owl (which was a great freebie set with a magazine).  I used an old stitching stamp on the strip below the image.  I thought this very old paper went well as it matched the colours of the image.  Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

Three Challenges, One Card

Challenges

Secret Crafter (22) - Masking

Stamp Something - Favourite Somethings (Flowers)

Colour Create (6) - Orange/Yellow/Green

With a single flower stamp and using the 'masking' technique I created three flowers which I coloured with MLP pens and layered using my Nesties. I placed green paper on a piece of card and then punched a piece of yellow paper and placed this on top. I then placed a strip of stripey paper down the other side and attached the image with foam pads. To finish off I added flower brads to the centres of the punched squares. As the colour combo of the challenge can be quite bright I found that these papers gave an alternative subtle combo. This stamp was lent to me by my good friend Sue and it has fast become a favourite of mine so I think I shall have to try and find my own.

Stamp Something/Dutch Dare Challenge

I have made this card using the sketch from this week's 'Stamp Something' challenge using scraps of cardstock I have in my scrapbox. The image stamp is WoodwareTapestry Rose which my friend Sue has lent me for a while, thanks Sue. I used the 'masking' technique to get three flowers and have watercoloured this with Marvy Le Plume pens. The greeting stamp is by Katie & Co. I can't remember where I got the butterfly charm. As the challenge this week at 'Dutch Dare' is charms I think this will fit the criteria. Thanks for looking.
