Doggone Birthday

Here's some cute little doggies from Bugaboo which I have coloured with promarkers and a touch of crystal glaze to their noses.  I then fussy cut them before attaching to my card.  The stamped sentiment and pawprints are from Wild Rose Studios and the little charm from my stash.

Here is the last of the decoupaged cards for today.

Following the great sketch I layered my base card and added a punched border topped with spotty ribbon.  Once I had decoupaged my image I simply placed it onto another piece of card and added some card candi.  Quick and simple.  Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

Here is another card I made with the same pad.

Following the great sketch I covered my base card adding a punched border topped with gingham ribbon to match the paper.  I then added my decoupaged image.  Next, I stamped the bunting across the corner and coloured it with promarkers.  I then stamped, coloured and cut out the sentiment and parcels before attaching with foam pads.  Finally, a little bow finishes the card.  Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

Anything Goes (100) - In The Garden/Butterflies
Totally Papercrafts (182) - Decoupage

Just lately I have been playing with some decoupage so thought I would show you what I have been doing with a pad that was a freebie in a magazine a while ago.

Following the great sketch I layered my base card and added a simple border with a die-cut fence on top.  I then decoupaged my image and stuck it onto another piece of card.  I then added some tiny butterflies (the waste from a die).  After adding a punched butterfly I used some stickles for their bodies.  A stamped sentiment finishes the card.  Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

Today at Crafty Creations we have a great sketch and theme for you. The theme is 'Male Birthday' which is ideal for me as it is my eldest son's birthday today. We are being sponsored by Delicious Doodles who are offering four digital images of choice to one lucky winner.

Happy Birthday Shaun!

As he is a keen fisherman, he even spends his holidays fishing, I thought this stamp would be ideal for his birthday card. I bought it some time ago with him in mind but haven't inked it up until now, shame on me. I have coloured it with promarkers and chalk and put faux stitching around the edges. I have also added Diamond Glaze to the fish, reel, eyes and buttons. As I didn't have any appropriate paper printed off (my printer died the other day) I have made my own by stamping and heat embossing some fish onto brown cardstock. The strips at the bottom have been punched with a border punch and I have stamped little fishing rods onto it. I also punched one corner of the backing cardstock. Finally I used some string to tie a sailors knot and added that to another corner. Hope you like it, thanks for looking.
