Clover

This card features a digi stamp from Pollycrafts (long gone now) which I have coloured with promarkers.  The papers are from Nitwits.  I found an old button which I thought would look good in the middle of my paper flower (I believe that the button is even older than me...).  The ribbon bow and bug are from my stash.

I have wanted to make a 'new baby' card using this sweet digi stamp from Pollycraft ever since I saw it but never seemed to get the time. The base card is 'sky' patterned and has been hanging around so long I can't remember where it came from. Anyway, I then distressed and glittered some blue card and and attached it with D/S tape. Next I coloured the image with promarkers and glitter, distressed, inked and glittered the edge before layering with nesties. I then threaded organza ribbon through the holes around the edge before attaching with foam pads. I found a couple of teddy bear buttons in my stash which went nicely with the image. A circular sentiment finishes the card. Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

Charisma Cardz (22) - Something That Flies
Paperplay (22) - Summer Citrus Splash
Stamp Something - Digi Day
Digital Tuesday (114) - In The Garden/Outdoors

This week's theme at Crafty Creations has been inspired by the Wizard Of Oz/Judy Garland song 'Somewhere Over The Rainbow' so for your creations we want to see how the song inspires you. We have a great prize for one lucky winner as we are being sponsored this week by Whimsy Stamps who are kindly donating 5 digi stamps of choice.

As you can see I have used a red base card which has been layered on top with a white card and rainbow striped paper, nice and bright. Across the middle I have layered a couple of punched borders and tied some rainbow organza ribbon around them. The image has been coloured with promarkers and layered with nesties. The circular sentiment has also been layered. A few red star brads finishes the card. Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

I have decided to try and get ahead with my Christmas cards this year and am hoping to make one a week. Yeah!, right! let's see how long that lasts, ha! ha!

I've made a start with this one anyway. I have coloured this little fella with pencils and Sakura Stardust pen and added glitter to his hat and the snow. The heart has been die cut and embossed. The snowflakes have been punched. The ribbon is some sticky backed ribbon that I got free with a magazine a long time ago (trying to use up some of my older stash) and has hearts on it too. A few white gems and the card is finished. Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

Fab 'N' Funky (34) - Spotty, Dotty & Stretchy Stripes
Digi Doodle (19) - Favourite Stamp

Here is one of my favourite digi stamps which I have coloured with Promarkers. I have added glitter to her wings and around the edges. The colours I have used are quite an unusual combination for me but I think they work, what do you think? The flowers are punched from mulberry paper and I have coloured the butterfly with my pens. I found the sentiment bubble in amongst my neglected stash and used edging scissors to cut the mats (something else I have not used for a very long time). Anyway I hope you like this one enough to leave me a comment.

I made my card using a template I bought at the Farnborough show. I thought it was about time I had a play with it. I covered both sides of the card with coordinating papers, adding some gems to the front. Having coloured the digi stamps with Promarkers, chalks and Sakura Stardust pens I added glitter to their tails. I also added Diamond glaze to the bubbles. I then layered the images onto holographic card. The flowers and leaves have all been punched out of various glittery and mirri card with a gem added to the centre of the flowers. Altogether very sparkly and glittery!

Challenges

The Creative Cottage (8) - Circles
Sketch Saturday (101) - Sketch
Creative Inspirations (33) - Congratulations (New Home)

What a great sketch this week's one on Sketch Saturday is. I have really enjoyed using it for this card. I have coloured the digi stamp house with a mix of Promarkers, MLP and Sakuras. I inked around the edge with a Promarker before layering it. The fairy image (thank you Terri), was coloured with the same pens and I have glittered her wings by heat embossing them with holographic EP. The sentiment is also a digi stamp with a bit of colour added.

Yesterday I received my lovely new Promarkers which I won recently on the C.R.A.F.T. challenge. I decided to choose pastel colours as I tend to use pastels quite a bit. I only had the set of skin tones and was rather limited so tended not to use them much at all. Well, today I thought I would have a play with them and this card is the result. Please excuse the shading, I need a lot more practice.

Following the lovely sketch (one I shall use again and again), I first covered my base card with a floral paper. As the paper was just brown and white I coloured bits in with my pens and added glitter glue to the dots, my what a difference! I then wrapped a piece of ribbon around a piece of brown card and attached it to the bottom, adding a punched butterfly (also coloured with the pens). I then coloured my digi stamp using a combination of Promarkers and MLP pens adding glitter glue to the wings and flowers. I then double layered this using Nesties. The stamped sentiments are also double layered. Finally I coloured some flowers with the Promarkers and added pearls to the centres and also the butterfly's body. All in all I am rather pleased with how it all turned out and I think I will be using the Promarkers a lot more from now on.

Sketch Saturday Challenge (73)

This week on the Sketch Saturday Challenge there is a lovely sketch but I don't think I have done it justice with this card. The digi stamp images have been coloured with pencils and I have added lots of glitter glue. Although they don't show up very well there is a punched border at the bottom of the main image and sparkly punched snowflakes along the strip at the bottom of the card where I have stamped a sentiment.
