Belated
I had a little play earlier as I wanted to see if I could come up with a card for the 'Less Is More' challenge. The problem is, I don't have any geometric stamps except these which I hope will be acceptable. The stamps are from Hero Arts and I have randomly stamped and heat embossed them having first masked off the area. I then drew two lines with a promarker. I finished off with a stamped and embossed sentiment. With hindsight, I should have used stronger coloured inks for the stamping.

Simon Says - Lemon/Lavender
I will be the first to admit that I am definately NOT a minimalist but I have had a go with this get well card (get well verse inside). I hope it can be classed as 'clean & simple' as I do struggle to get it right... Anyway I have used a white 5" x 7" base card and added a punched strip of lemon cardstock. I then stamped the sentiment directly onto the base card. Next I found a scrap of lavender patterned paper in my rather large scrapbox and stamped the flowers onto it. Once I cut the flowers out I simply attached them with foam pads. I even resisted adding glitter to the flowers, had to tie my hands behind my back though ha! ha! Hope you like this deviation from the norm, thanks for looking.

Fancy Folds

ChallengesThe Creative Cottage (10) - Fancy Folds
I don't know what sort of card you would call this but it was in a friend's kit so I thought I would see what I could come up with. The bit from the kit was the fancy fold card and some other bits of card with silver flowers on it. As you can see I used some of the floral card to add to the bits in the middle. For the front I simply made up a bouquet of white flowers and added a punched butterfly from sparkly hologram card. On the other side I stamped, embossed and layered a sentiment and added a couple of punched butterflies from white pearl paper. Considering neither of us knew quite what to do with it I think it came out quite well.

What a great sketch to work with and fun themes. I've tried to keep it fairly simple by using plain card rather than mixing patterns of paper. The main image has been coloured with MLP pens. The sentiment is computer generated and the little spiders are stamped.

Simon Says Challenge (16)
The Simon Says Challenge this week wants 'Anything BUT A Card' so I am entering this little Seed Packet Holder that I made. I folded the green card and held it in place with a couple of eyelets. I then stamped the sentiment (Hero Arts) and layered it using nesties. I added some flowers and leaves and popped a packet of seeds inside. Thanks for looking.

Crafty Creations Challenge (17)
This week's challenge is 'Butterflies'. I made this card a little while ago using an image from a friend. I used glitter pens to colour the image and layered it using my nesties. I stamped a greeting onto strips of card and then added some flowers to finish it off.

Rainbow Lady (58) - Four Legged Friends
Here's another one using this lovely soft orange coloured card. I think this kitty is so cute. Another stamp belonging to my friend Sue, forgot to look who made it, sorry. All I did was to stamp it in brown, colour the eyes green and add diamond glaze to highlight them and add a ribbon bow. I also sponged the edges with ink and added punched flowers and brads. Having stamped a sentiment at the top I just added some fibres and foam letters.

Friday Sketchers (41) Challenge
I decided to try something different for this card by not using a 'stamped' image, shock! horror! You see I went to The Range yesterday for some bits and bobs and came across a lovely flower punch which I just had to have, like you do. Anyway, onto the card... First I covered the card with design paper and added a ribbon across the bottom. I then cut two rectangles of white cardstock and two larger ones in purple and layered them. On the first one I stamped and embossed the sentiment. On the second one I doodled some flower stalks with a MLP pen. I then used the punch to cut the flowers out of handmade paper. I coloured the edges of the petals with a MLP pen and added pearls to the centres. I then placed three at the top of the stalks and added a bow to the bottom. I finished off by placing the remaining flowers at the bottom of the card.

Mini Card Set
I have now completed the cards and envelopes to go in the 4"x4" Pizza Box that I made earlier. I'm afraid it is not a very good photo due to poor lighting.I have done six cards and envelopes all using paper from K and Company. The greeting stamps are Hero Arts and are layered using my nesties in the cuttlebug. Gems, brads and prima flowers are from my stash.
