Still playing with my stamp platform and trying to crack the CAS style cards...
For the first card I stamped directly onto my card blank and then practiced stamping the sentiment inside the hearts. I then heat embossed my images. Not sure I like the composition of this one. I think it would look better if the images were a bit more random and mat and layered, maybe even decoupaged for depth.
For my second card I mat and layered my base card. This time I wanted to practice overlaying my stamps so used these gorgeous splatter stamps from Honey Doo. I used watercolour card and distress ink pads so that hopefully, they would blend where they overlapped. The magazine freebie sentiment was heat embossed. I think this one looks better as the matting and layering adds a frame around the design and makes it stand out more.
Anyway, as said in the previous post, warts and all, I shall show my efforts...

I have been playing around with a new 'toy' that arrived on Friday - a stamping platform! I am also still practicing ink blending with distress ink pads (not very successfully). Even so, warts and all, I will show you the cards I make and hopefully they will get better as I go along.
With this card I found a scrap of embossed card and applied the distress ink pad directly over it. Using the stamping platform I stamped my christmas cats using the masking technique. I then coloured them with promarkers and used the distress ink around the edges using a blending tool to apply. Once these were attached to my card base I could not resist stamping a little flourish at the top.
All stamps used were magazine freebies.

Another christmas card today. I started off with a navy base card with a white panel added which I topped with my design paper. I coloured my digi stamp from Whoopsi Daisy with promarkers and fussy cut her adding foam pads to the back. She was then attached to some mats, one of which has been embossed using a folder. My sentiment has been stamped and then die cut with a tag die. Adding pink distress ink around the edge I then added a snowflake brad. My poinsettias are die cut from pink vellum and then hand embossed with a ball tool. Finally I added a pearl to each flower.

I have been playing with my distress ink pads today as I am not sure what type of cardstock to use them on for blending. Pearl card is NOT the one I discovered as I had to heat dry the ink.
As you can see I used the inks to make the pink panels on my base card. I stamped and heat dried the sentiment as well. I die cut the large snowflake out of silver mirri card, attached with foam pads for a little dimension and added a gem to the centre.
Not my best work but hey ho I'm getting better at die cutting at least :)

For this card I knew what design paper I wanted to use and based my colouring (with promarkers) on this. The image and sentiment tag stamps are from LOTV and the design papers from Pink Petticoat. I used a new border die across the middle panel, love it. I stamped, coloured and die cut my flowers from The Works and added some glitter glue.

It was so tempting to use flowers for the circles on the sketch, but when I saw the masculine colours I decided I would make a card for a vintage vinyl fan.
Once I had matted and layered my base card I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment. I then stamped and heat embossed the vinyl records to give them shine like the real thing. I then glued them to my mats which I then attached to the card with foam pads for a bit of dimension.
All stamps are magazine freebies again.

Another CAS card, this time for an anniversary. On my base card I layered some silver mirri card and some pastel rainbow paper with little hearts on. Next I die cut a fanciful heart from parchment and glued this to a stitched die cut heart. I then added a stamped and layered sentiment using foam pads. Finally, I drew a butterfly onto parchment, embossed and then fussy cut it before attaching with silicone glue.
