It's Sunday which means it's time for another challenge at Creative Inspirations and this time the theme is 'Summertime'. So what does summertime mean to you? A trip to the seaside, barbeques or maybe all the beautiful flowers. Let's see what it means to you!

We are kindly being sponsored by Little Claire Designs who has donated a great prize for one lucky winner. Don't forget to check out the DT's blogs for more inspiration.

In the summertime I like to see all the beautiful flowers in bloom, especially my roses, so I have used this gorgeous Tilda stamp which was in some blog candy I won recently. I have coloured her with promarkers and glitter and layered her with a Nesties label die. The doily is another Spellbinders die. The panel across the middle has been punched with a border punch and I have added ribbon and butterfly gems. The corners have also been punched and I have added flower gems to these. To finish off I added some paper flowers. Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

Today for the Lili Of The Valley challenge we have a great sketch for you to follow. We are being sponsored by Lili Of The Valley who are kindly donating a £10.00 voucher to the lucky winner. To be eligible for the prize you MUST use an LOTV product on your creation. Make sure you check the rest of the DT's blogs for more inspiration.

I have made another Christmas card using one of the new stamps from the 'Christmas Cuties' range and this one is called 'Pretty Poinsettia', isn't it gorgeous? Have you got your cuties yet?

I've used my 'posh' cardstock for this one. The base card is gold pearl, embossed card to which I have added cream/gold sparkly card. I have punched the border and placed some gold edged green satin ribbon along it. The sentiment has been stamped, layered with nesties and a gem heart added. The main image has been coloured with promarkers and glitter before layering with anotheer nestie. The flowers and leaves have all been punched and I have added glitter glue to the centres of the flowers. Finally I added a little candy cane topper. Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

Challenges

Crafty Creations DT (129) - Christmas In July
ABC Christmas - O is for Old Image
I Love Promarkers (76) - Anything Goes

This week at Crafty Creations the theme is 'Christmas In July' so we want to see all your lovely Christmas creations. Our sponsor this week is Whiff Of Joy who has very generously donated a great prize for one lucky winner.

For my Christmas card I have used one of my favourite WOJ stamps 'Confirmed Melinda', in fact, she was the first WOJ stamp I bought. I think she lends herself very well to a Christmas card, don't you. I have coloured her with promarkers and glittered her wings. All the flowers and leaves have been punched and I have added pink pearls to the flower centres. Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

Here is another card I got into a mess doing, this time with glitter. What started out as a little bit of glitter around the image ended up with everything covered in it, not least of all.....me!

I first covered the base card with a snowflake paper, and then covered a doily with pink glitter and placed on the card, very messy! Next came the punched border and for this I covered a piece of pink card with D/S tape and then placed a punched, white border on top. Once this was in place I again covered it in the pink glitter making sure the glitter was stuck to the tape. The image has been coloured with promarkers adding flock to her clothes and then the edge was distressed and glittered. Finally, I added a circular sentiment to a flower. Job done! Don't you think this little Eskimo girl is so cute with her pet polar bear? Thanks for looking.

Well, for this card I have had another go at the shabby, distressed, vintage look!!! Personally I think it's a bit of a mess as I seem to be too heavy handed with the ink around the edges even though I start 'off the page'. If anyone can give me any pointers I would be grateful. At least I'm trying, very trying...

Okay then. I have tried to give the sketch a bit of a twist by applying it to a fold-back card (hence all the pics so you can see what I did). The gorgeous image has been coloured with promarkers and distress ink. The sentiment has been stamped and I distressed the edges, in fact, all the edges of the card have been distressed. I applied the ribbon following the sketch and added some flower buttons to the fold-back part. I then added a lace bow with a plain and a glittery (bling) button in the centre. If you are wondering where the 'black' part is, that's what the image was printed in - black ink. Is this cheating? Well, that's it, hope you like it, thanks for looking.

I thought this one would be ideal for a man's summer birthday. I have kept to shades of blue as it reminds me of the seaside. I didn't have any suitable DP so I stamped my own. All the images are coloured with promarkers and chalk and attached with foam pads for depth. To embellish it I made a little windmill. Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

Passion For Promarkers (109) - Sketch
I Love Promarkers (75) - Christmas In July

I can't believe I am still in the Christmas mood. It doesn't usually last this long but with such gorgeous stamps from LOTV to work with I'm not at all suprised. Are you loving all the sneaky peeks? This one is called 'Plum Pudding'.

I have tried to make this one look a bit vintage but think I have failed miserably. When I had coloured it I thought it had a look of the Fifties about it. Anyway, I have followed the great sketch but lengthened it to fit an A5 card. The image has been coloured with promarkers and distressed around the edge. I then added this gorgeous lace around it. I distressed the doily behind by stippling with distress inks but I think I need a lot more practice. I stamped, coloured and cut out the bunting and added it to the corners to look like Christmas decorations. Because the corners still looked a bit empty I added some peel-off bells. The sentiment is a chipboard tag I had in my stash but because it was going slightly under the image I took the ribbon off (hope this counts for the challenges). I'm not too sure about this one myself but thanks for looking.

Don't forget to check out the Ideas To Inspire Blog for more sneaky peeks of the new LOTV 'Christmas Cuties' stamps being released on 25th July. I'll be back with another one soon.

Welcome to another Lili Of The Valley Challenge. This week the theme is 'Fun & Games' and we have some fantastic prizes from our great sponsors Lili Of The Valley and Wild Orchid Crafts.

Don't forget to check out the DT's blogs and the Ideas To Inspire Blog for further sneak peeks of the soon to be released (25th July) Christmas Cuties stamps.

I have used another of the 'Christmas Cutie' stamps for my card today. This one is called 'Build A Snowman', isn't it gorgeous? I have coloured the image with promarkers and tons of glitter. If you look very closely you will see that I have followed the great sketch although some of it has been hidden by the embellishments. The piece of white card that you can see peeping out from behind the image has been embossed with snowflakes using a folder. I have also heat embossed it with hologram EP. The rather bright rainbow colours you can see around the edge is caused by light hitting the hologram card that I used, isn't it pretty? I have attached a snowflake brad and silver bell to the centre of the bow of the glittery ribbon. The leaves have been punched from the purple and the hologram card. A few flowers finish it off. Altogether a rather shiny, glittery card.Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

Here is yet another Christmas card. I'm definately in the Christmas mood at the minute, let's hope it lasts for a while... Although you cannot see it, unless you maximise the picture, this is a gatefold card for a change. The beautiful aqua coloured card is pearl which gives a bit of shine to the card.
I have coloured this darling little angel with promarkers, glitter, flock and a touch of diamond glaze on the holly berries and her eye. After layering her with nesties I attached her to the card with foam pads on the left hand side only. The white panels have been embossed with CB folders. The snowflakes are punched with gems added to the centres for more shine. I am very pleased with this one as I love the image, colour and style of it. Hope you like it too, thanks for looking.

WILD ORCHID CRAFT/ LILI OF THE VALLEY

A week long of inspiration and prizes so stay tuned to the Wild Orchid Crafts Blog and the Lili Of The Valley Ideas To Inspire Blog. Each day some of the Wild Orchid Crafts DT, Lili Of The Valley DT and Guest Designers will be showcasing some of the new 'Christmas Cuties' stamp release from Lili Of The Valley and new products from Wild Orchid Crafts!!!

As I am not too keen on traditional Christmas colours I have gone down my favourite pastel route for this card. I thought I would have a go at cutting my own shaker card as well. I have used recycled packaging for the bubble and luckily it fitted the largest circular nestie I have which I used to cut the aperture. I also used the scalloped nestie to cut a very thin frame to go around it. This gorgeous image is called 'Toboggan For Two' and is one of the new LOTV 'Christmas Cuties' being released on 25TH JULY. I have coloured the image with promarkers and glitter. Just for fun I added some snowballs as the 'shaker' part. The seam binding ribbon has been tied in a bow with a button snowflake and gem attached to the bow. (Top Tip: If your bow will not lay flat run it through your die cut machine between the plates) Naturally, I found this out by accident, don't ask!!! Finally I added some flowers and punched leaves. The flowers have snowflake brad centres with gems added and all covered in glitter.

Well, I couldn't leave the traditional colours out now could I? As you can see the image has taken on quite a different look now. Again I have coloured it with promarkers and glitter and layered it with nesties. For this card I have followed the great sketch and made it into an easel card. Both panels have been made with layers of plain and border punched card. I have attached some organza ribbon and then added punched snowflakes with star gems in the centres. The lower panel has a bow attached to which I added a stamped sentiment. Both the image and the sentiment has had the edges distressed and glittered. Finally I placed a large die-cut snowflake to the corner and added a mix of flowers, berries and punched leaves. I then went over the flowers with some glitter glue which you can't see very well, but believe me it has really set the flowers off very well.

One lucky winner will win a fabulous prize from our generous monthly sponsor The Ribbon Girl and another will win a £10.00 voucher from Lili Of The Valley. Definately worth entering for, and don't forget to check out the DT blogs while you are there for loads of great inspiration.

This card is for a work colleague who sadly, is rather ill and is due for a major operation in a couple of weeks time. As we don't know what the outcome will be we wanted to let her know that we are all thinking of her.

I have followed the great sketch and just added a couple of bits to it. I have coloured the image with promarkers and chalk and also chalked other bits and pieces. I just love this adorable image as it makes me think of the summer when all my roses are in bloom. The scalloped mat behind the image has been embossed with the Swiss Dots folder to give it a bit of texture. Not only have I used a border punch on the centre strip but I have used it on the corners as well. To finish the card I have added some little pearls to the flower corners, some card candi and a ribbon bow. I think this one is very pretty and feminine and hope you do too. Thanks for looking.

Crafty Creations DT (127) - Boyz To Men
A Gem Of A Challenge (25) - Male
Simon Says - Anything Goes

A special day for me today as it is my first time to set/host the challenge on the Crafty Creations Challenge Blog. With a family full of males I am always looking for inspiration when it comes to making cards for them, so I decided to get the help of all you lovely crafters in blogland. Therefore the theme for this week's challenge is 'Boyz To Men'.

Great news! We are being sponsored by our new sponsor Lili Of The Valley

Lisa & Laila have very generously donated this fantastic prize for one lucky winner this week. Will it be you?

OK, onto my card. Today is a very special birthday for one of my dear friends.

"HAPPY 40th BIRTHDAY MICHAEL!"

I have made him this centre step card which I hope he will like. The image has been coloured with promarkers as usual. Having double layered it I tied a navy ribbon around it before attaching with foam pads. All the mats and layers have been edged with a promarker to make them stand out. A few buttons and silver peel-offs finishes the card. Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

Today I have had another go at doing a clean and simple card (or six). As you can see they are Christmas cards (it will be here before I know it) and very quick and simple to make. I stamped the images and sentiments with Versacolor multi inkpads and heat embossed with holographic EP for a bit of sparkle. To finish I just tied a bit of organza ribbon around the spine. I really must get back to doing some more heat embossing as I thoroughly enjoyed myself. They are not brilliant but I hope you like them, thanks for looking.

Time for another great challenge at Whoopsi Daisy and all the Daisy Divas are 'in the pink' this week as we want to see lots of the colour 'Pink' on your creations this week. Definately time to get all girly! Make sure you check out all the other DT's creations for more inspiration.

I have made a tent card this time and followed the great sketch, but, I turned it upside down. First I covered my base card with the design paper and then added some white ribbon topped with some pink ribbon down the side. Next I punched a border strip and added some crosstitching with pink embroidery floss. The gaps seemed a bit big so I attached some pearl flowers. Next I coloured this gorgeous image with promarkers and highlighted the edge of the nestie label mat to match. (As I used the largest die but still wanted another mat behind the image I drew around the 'outside' of the die and then cut it out and layered the image). The sentiment was cut out with a lacey circle nestie and edged with the promarker before adding a couple of pearl hearts. The flowers have been simply punched and embossed before adding pearls to the centres. Hope you like my pink card, thanks for looking.
