Birthday Monsters

Today I have a lovely, bright easel card for a little boy.

My digi papers are from Polkadoodles and I love the bright colours of them so used them for inspiration when colouring my Bugaboo digi stamp with promarkers.  I added a LOTV sentiment stamp along with a number stamp.  After adding some google eyes I also added some crystal glaze and glitter glue.

I made up the boy's name using the alphabet stamps and colouring them to match and added some star gems.

Note:  I can't tell you the company name of a lot of the stamps I use as I don't store them with their packaging anymore, sorry.

Taking Flight...

Here is another card I have made with my lovely new stamp from Honey Doo Crafts.  This time I have stamped it with green ink which works rather well.  I have coloured it with promarkers and added gems to the pink flowers only this time.  I stamped the butterflies with grey ink, coloured with promarkers and added a second layer to the yellow one.  The paper on the base card is from Nitwits.

Embossed Tree

I embossed this christmas tree onto gold pearl card when I first started papercrafting.  Back then I didn't have a clue what to do with it so squirreled it away for years.  Just another old thing I found while rooting in my stash earlier.

Looking at the shape of the tree I just cut down one side to make the shape on the sketch and glued it to my base card.  I attached a sentiment and die cut poinsettia.  I added a gem to the centre and could not resist adding three more in the corner.  Finally I added some gold glitter glue to the tree.

Winter Wishes

While rooting about among my stash I came across this aperture card and thought I ought to do something with it.  So, to start with I recycled some acetate from packaging for the window.  I then came across this cobwebby stuff with glitter in it.  So old I can't remember what it was used for.  I attached it behind the window.  I used a magazine freebie to stamp my sentiment.  The little Bugaboo penguins have been coloured with promarkers and attached with foam pads so that they are holding each other's flippers.  To finish off I found some turquoise blue snowflake stickers and added some matching gems.

Just noticed there is a reflection showing on the acetate at the top, sorry about that.

Sparkle!

Another quick one layer card.  This time I made lines with d/s tape and only took the backing off each one when I was going to throw glitter on it.  I had to change the area I put the sentiment stamp as I couldn't stamp over the glitter.  When I had finished I 'fixed' the glitter with a quick burst of hairspray.

Needless to say, both myself and my desk is now covered in glitter...

Princess Tilda

I started this card by matting and layering my base card with soft mint green cardstock and old design paper from Papermania.  I then added a die cut strip with a piece of ribbon attached.  Next came a die cut doily which I heat embossed using a Brilliance ink pad and holographic embossing powder.  I stamped my lovely image and coloured her with promarkers and a bit of glitter glue.  After die cutting her with an oval stitched die I attached her with foam pads.  Finally, I found a heart shaped button and changed the colour by brushing with alchohol ink.  A bit of recycled ribbon through the button and the card is finished.

Where Flowers Bloom...

I have been having a little play with this new floral stamp that I could not resist buying (Honey Doo Crafts) when I saw it on the telly.  I have stamped it off centre directly onto my card blank and coloured it with promarkers.  I then added a few crystal gems.    Finally I stamped a sentiment that was a magazine freebie.

I can see this stamp being used quite a lot in the future.

Monochromatic Christmas

Another Christmas card for the box featuring one of my favourite digi stamps which I have coloured with promarkers, glitter glue, liquid pearls and crystal glaze.  I have added a ribbon, snowflake charm and sentiment tag.  I have distressed and inked around the edge of the die cut tag and added a button.  When I was hand cutting the mats I thought I would glue the cut off corners onto the base mat as I thought it carried the shape throughout.

Yay!  I managed to include all the elements on the bingo grid!

Heart Wall Plaque

I have made a hanging wall plaque using the colours of the above shirt in my wardrobe.

My LOTV image has been coloured with promarkers and then matted onto glitter cardThe flowers and leaves are die cut from sparkly card and glittered DP  The background DP is from the same glittered pad as the flowers.  The sentiment is also fro LOTV.  The paper butterflies have been stamped and fussy cut.  The glitter letter stickers personalise it.  The wooden heart was from The Works and had twine to hang it with, but I replaced it with some gingham ribbon.  Last but not least a few gems.

Thoughts of you...

I am still trying to master the CAS style of card designs after years of throwing everything onto my cards.

Here is another one that I think has too much on it, mainly the flower lace, but it needed something there.  I made my navy layer shape by cutting around the coaster on my desk which was a teapot stand once.  It was just the right size.  I used a very old stamp for the sentiment and inked around the edges of my mat with the ink pad.  The die cut butterfly was cut years ago using a friends die which I inked over to make it the right colour.  I then glued it to parchment and embossed it.  Having attached it I added the gems.

Poppies

Normally I just cut a die and stick it on my card but I thought I would try something new by layering it.  I also tried inking through a stencil for the background using distress ink.  The sentiment stamp was a magazine freebie and although they don't look ,the little die cut butterflies are dark brown.

I am really pleased with how this card turned out.

Party Time!

Yay!  Made it to day 7 of the Bugaboo Birthday Bash Challenge.  My starry design paper is from Polkadoodles and is just gorgeous.  I have coloured my digi stamp with promarkers, chalk, crystal glaze, glitter glue and added some stamped foliage.  My sentiment stamp is a magazine freebie and I have made it into a rosette with various dies.  I also embossed stars onto the tails of it.  The tiny stars on the sentiment is the waste from a die.

Pretty Cow

Using the above sketch I started my card by matting and layering with navy cardstock and design paper from Nitwits.  I then added some new spotty washi tape.  I found some scenic paper in my stash which I have used behind my new digi stamp which I coloured with promarkers and fussy cut.  I added a die cut sun.  The tag stamps are from LOTV, fussy cut and a brad added.  A couple of pearl gems finishes the card.

White Christmas

This die card was made using a friend's scenic house die placed onto a navy card base.  The hills were torn out and put in place with die cut deer tucked in behind.  A tree, moon and sentiment with a lot of glitter glue and a tiny gem finishes this snowy scene off.

Don't Look...

Hopefully this card will give you all a bit of a laugh!

I coloured my digi stamp with promarkers and added crystal glaze to his eyes.  Before attaching my image with foam pads I put a punched and scored panel of card behind adding some brads.  The lovely wood design paper is from The Works.  A bit of recycled twine with a computer generated sentiment and a couple of peel-off horseshoes placed on top finishes it off nicely.

It's Your Birthday

Day 4 of the Bugaboo Birthday Bash challenge is a Bingo board.  I have gone diagonal using Ticket/Bugaboo Image/3 Layers for my card.

Following the lovely sketch I went for nice bright colours with gorgeous papers I found at Polkadoodles  some cupcake ribbon from my stash.  I also found some old ticket style sentiments in my stash and coloured mine with a promarker pen.

My digi stamp has also been coloured with promarkers and a bit of chalk.  I added some die cut clouds and a bit of crystal glaze.

Rustic Wall Decor

I have tried to make something different this time.

For weeks I have had the empty plastic inner from a roll of d/s tape sitting on my desk so thought I would recycle it into something to hang on the wall.  I covered the reel with a scrap of ribbon.  My digi image is coloured with promarkers.  The paper rust coloured paper flowers, gem and twine are from my stash and the leaves punched.

Bugaboo Birthday Bash Day 2

As you can see Day 2 is a sketch challenge.  The papers and sentiment I have used are very old ones from LOTV.  I flipped a second image so I had two pretty cows which I coloured with promarkers.  A paper flower and a few gems and the card is finished.
