It's a long time since I played with my Sugar Nellie stamps so I thought I would have a play today and this is what I came up with.  Not bad seeing as my mojo has done a bunk.

I decided to turn the sketch before following it as I thought the panel looked as if it could be a garden wall.  With this thought in mind I embossed the panel with a scroll embossing folder before placing Dolly Pip (coloured with promarkers) on the 'wall'.  I then decided she should have some Spring flowers around her so I die-cut some swirly leaves and added small punched flowers.  Some have pearl centres, others have gems.  The little butterflies have been stamped, coloured with promarkers and Sakura Stardust pen before being cut out.  The sentiment is stamped and to finish off I added a bow to Dolly Pip's hair.  Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

Today, as you can see, I have made a 'white on white' card featuring die-cut butterflies.  I started by covering the base card with an embossed panel.  I then added layers of nesties using foam pads to give dimension and topped them with die-cut/punched butterflies and added gems to the body.  I also added some smaller die-cut butterflies also with gem bodies.  Finally I tied some satin ribbon around the card.  Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

Challenges

Crafty Ribbons (17) - Things With Wings

Our Creative Corner - Butterflies

It's Monday again and time for a new Whoopsi Daisy challenge and this week we want to see you use your 'Flourishes' on your creations. Again this week the DT have some fantastic creations to inspire you with so make sure you check out their blogs.

This time I have made a gatefold card using some of Linnie's beautiful fairies which I have placed inside the card for a change. I coloured the images with promarkers and added glitter to their wings. Having covered the front of the card with digi paper I added a punched border topped with die-cut flourishes which I added flowers to. The flowers have been sprayed with sparkle and have gems in the centres. The flourishes have been randomly inked. Having added a heat embossed sentiment I finished the card with som die-cut butterflies which I lightly inked. Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

Today I have made an easel card in my favourite pastel colours. You might have guessed by now that I love pastel colours and use them a lot. The butterflies have also been punched and I have added glitter glue to the bodies. The sentiment has been die-cut and inked befor placing on some mats cut with nesties. I made this card for a friend who is a big Michael Jackson fan. I found the picture on the internet and printed it off and computer generated the sentiment. I used metallic holographic card behind the image which I embossed with a folder. To finish off I added some punched stars with gem centres. Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

Stamp with Fun (157) - Sketch
Stampin For The Weekend (7) - Teddies

It's Thursday and time for another challenge at Lili's Little Fairies. This week the theme is 'Transport' so let's see what mode of transport your imagination comes up with.

For today's card I have used the stamp 'Astronaut' and coloured the image with promarkers and chalk. Following the great sketch I layered the grey base card with panels of blue and black cardstock. I then placed some starry ribbon down the black panel. Having placed some star brads in the corners I finished off with some punched stars which I added more star brads too.

I'm not very happy with the way this card has turned out as I made it in a rush but thanks for looking anyway.

I don't know what blogger is playing at this week but all my posts are coming out too spaced out. Despite trying several times to get the spacing tightened on all my posts it's just not doing it. I wish they would sort it out.

Anyway, enough of the moaning. Here is a little Easter card and candy holder I have made for a friend. The card is very simply layered with little chipboard stickers added. This is the first time I have had a go at making this candy holder so I have kept it very simple too. I cut the heart aperture with a nestie and punched the flap with a border punch. Hope you like them, thanks for looking.

Time for another challenge over at Whoopsi Daisy and this week we have another great 'sketch' for you to use.

I decided to make an A5 card so have lengthened the sketch. I just love this gorgeous digi stamp and it is so easy to colour (I have used promarkers), available from Whoopsi Daisy. I have simply layered the card and punched the strip going across the middle. To make the flowers and butterfly I simply stamped some cardstock and cut or punched them out before shaping. A simple sentiment finishes the card off. A quick and easy spring like card so hope you like it, thanks for looking.

Here' another one I'm a bit late with posting.

Today we have our monthly 'Anything Goes' challenge at Lili's Little Fairies so I can't wait to see all your lovely creations.

My image today is coloured with pencils and I have attached it directly to the base card. Whilst sorting through my stash recently I came across some long forgotten frames. So forgotten I don't know who made them, sorry. Anyway, the frames are square and cover the front of the card. They also have these lovely flowers embossed onto them which I have coloured with chalk and a pencil. I then added small gems to the centres. After stamping the sentiment I went around the edges of the frame with the chalk before attaching with foam pads making sure that the image showed through the apperture. Finally I added some lovely spotted organza ribbon. Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

I'm late showing you this project due to the computer problem I have had recently, (scroll down to see the post).

Today I want to show you the door hanger I have made for my craft studio. Using a door hanger image from the 'Daisy & Friends' CD by Whoopsi Daisy I changed the wording before printing it out, very easy. Once it was printed I coloured it with promarkers and as I wanted to enlarge it , using various layers, I left the 'hole' intact. Next I started layering it from front to back using cardstock. The largest layer was cut from the back of a large writing pad and covered with gorgeous gingham from the CD. Once I had got all my layers stuck together I used a hole punch and added eyelets before attaching some cord to the top. To cover the 'hole' above the wording I die-cut some circles and stamped the top one before attaching to the hanger. To finish I just added some punched butterflies with gem bodies. Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

I am late showing you this DT card due to the computer problem I have had recently, (scroll down to see the post).

Today I have made a card which I think is suitable for a child's birthday with lots of lovely balloons on it. I have layered up the base card using a mix of cardstock and digi paper following the sketch. The image has been coloured with pencils and I have added touches of diamond glaze. The balloons have been stamped, coloured with promarkers and cut out. I have also added diamond glaze to these. I then attached them to the card using foam pads making sure that the twine was caught underneath. A simple sentiment finishes the card. Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

I'm back - again!!!

Did you miss me? No? Thought not ha! ha! I could not believe it. I get one computer problem sorted, back for five minutes and a bigger one strikes!!! This time I got a nasty virus that locked me out of my computer. Must have left the back door open... Unfortunately I have had to wait for those more intelligent than me to fix it. Well, my hard drive has now been well and truly 'wiped' and I have the long task of re-installing everything. The main thing though is I have got my blog back so I can show you the DT projects that I did for Whoopsi Daisy and Lili's Little Fairies which were shown on the challenge blogs while I was awol. I am just off to craft club but will post my projects later tonight when I get back. See you then...
