Unicorn

Today's card features a lovely unicorn digi stamp from Bugaboo which I have coloured with promarkers.  I then added an embossed sentiment stamp from LOTV and a touch of glitter glue.  The beautiful background paper is from Polkadoodles.  The holographic heart mirri card is from my stash along with the glittery ribbon and butterfly gem.

My Fake Plants!

Here is another humerous card I have made using the wonderful Bugaboo digi stamps.  I hope it makes you smile.

This is typical of me as for years I have mixed fake flowers with real flowers in my gardens.  Nobody realised until I forgot to remove them in the Autumn one year.  Now I openly admit it!!!

My dotty paper is from Pink Petticoat and I have embossed the yellow strip using a folder.  My image has been coloured with promarkers and a bit of crystal glaze.  The butterfly is punched, coloured with a promarker and some glitter glue added.

Sending Christmas Cuddles

Here is a Christmas card I have made using a kit from Hunkydory.  These kits are ideal for quick cards as there is no colouring to do.  They also have a luxury feel about them.  The only thing I have added are die cut snowflakes and some gems.

Doggone Birthday

Here's some cute little doggies from Bugaboo which I have coloured with promarkers and a touch of crystal glaze to their noses.  I then fussy cut them before attaching to my card.  The stamped sentiment and pawprints are from Wild Rose Studios and the little charm from my stash.

Twice As Nice

For this card I have used a stamp from LOTV which I have coloured with promarkers.  My zodiac sign is Gemini which is portrayed by twins so I immediately thought of these little cuties.  The spotty paper was a magazine freebie from long ago.  The satin paper ribbon was from my stash along with the pearls.

When Life Gives You Lemons...

You might have noticed that my favourite images to use for my cards are people rather than animals as I find them easier to colour.  Not only that, although I like animals I prefer the social contact with people.

My digi image today is from Bugaboo and I have coloured her with promarkers with a bit of crystal glaze added too.  If you know me, you will also know that she is holding my 'tipple of choice'!!!  The background papers are from Pink Petticoat which go with the sentiment perfectly.

Spring Cleaning...

When the sun starts to shine more I can't help but think of Spring Cleaning everything, how boring is that???  I think Stella above has the right idea though!

I coloured my Bugaboo digi stamp with promarkers and added crystal glaze.  The backing paper was a magazine freebie that I have had for years.  Finally I stamped a bottle and glasses (another magazine freebie), coloured with promarkers and heat embossed twice before fussy cutting and attaching to my card.

Thinking Of You.

Here is another CAS card using distress inks this time.  Once I had cut a mat I masked off areas to create the stripes with the ink pads.  I then inked around the edges.  Once this was dry I added a stamped sentiment from Papermania.  I Using a Stampin Up punch I punched a butterfly from glitter paper for texture and a dash of sparkle along with a couple of gems.

Internet Down!

I thought it was about time I made a humerous card and couldn't resist using this Bugaboo digi stamp.  I coloured my image with promarkers and a touch of crystal glaze on the water.  I backed it with Kraft cardstock to match the sink unit.  I used some old papers from Pink Petticoat on my base card and added some grossgrain ribbon.  I found a couple of flower buttons and after removing the shanks I added them to my card, along with a sentiment from Hunkydory.

Fabulous Spring Flowers

When I saw these fabulous flower dies from Hunkdory being used by other crafters I fell in love and just had to have them.  It has taken me a while to finally find them in stock.  Imagine my delight when they arrived and I could finally use them.  I must say, they cut perfectly.

I used some papers that I have had for over a decade as my backing paper and to cut my flowers from.  The leaves however have been stamped and heat embossed on vellum that I had coloured on the back with distress ink.  The sentiment is also from Hunkydory.

Back to the beginning...

When I saw this cue card all I could think of was teabag folding that was popular when I first started card making all those years ago.  So, having found some lovely rainbow teabag papers in my stash I proceeded to fold eight of them using the 'kite' fold.  I then glued them together to make a rainbow fan shape.  Like kites my fan needed a 'tail' so I found a long forgotten tassel along with a metal fillagree to which I added a diamonte (gem).  I covered my base card with a DP from The Works and then attached my assemled fan.  The silver corners are peel-offs.

It made a nice change to do a technique I enjoyed years ago.

So, with that in mind, what long forgotten technique did you enjoy doing that you no longer do?

It's A Boy Thing...

Here is a card for all those male car lovers that we know and love that tinker with their cars.  The backing paper is from Nitwits.  I coloured my LOTV stamp with promarkers and added crystal glaze to the headlights and windscreen.  The silver pearl card panels have been embossed with folders and I added some die cut tools.  The sentiment is computer generated.

CAS

This was a very quick and simple card to make using papers from Nitwits and a sentiment stamp.  I don't think I was in a creative mood when I made this.
