Blooming Stencil

Today I have been playing around with a flower stencil that was a magazine freebie.  I have had very little experience with stencils but had this idea in my head to give it a go.  I inked through the stencil with distress inks to give me a golden flower.  I got ink in a bit where it shouldn't be so punched and inked a butterfly to cover my little accident.  After I stamped the sentiment I doodled a couple of flowers in the O's.  A few sparkly gems and my card was finished.  Although it doesn't show in the photo the base card is actually cream coloured so it sets the golden colours off nicely.

What a lovely summery card! Perfect for cheering up all this grey weather recently. The 'accident' was a happy one because the butterfly is a great addition! Thanks for a lovely LIM entry :)

Blooming lovely card Christine ;-) would never have known that you haven't had much experience of stencils because your blending through that lovely flower one is super. And to think the stencil was a freebie too! Really like your happy accident because the butterfly is such a lovely embellishment.
Thanks so much for joining us.
