It's Thursday again so time for another Lili Of The Valley challenge and this week we have a great challenge for you. The theme this week is 'Any Shape But Square' so we would like you to make something that shows us some different shapes other than square, so let's see how inventive you can be. I must admit that I usually 'play safe' and make a square card so I was a bit out of my comfort zone doing this circular card. I started by distressing the base card with chalks and then stamped over the edge with Tapestry stamps. The image has been coloured with Promarkers but this time I have done her wings with Fantasy Film. It is such a long time since I played with this film that I had forgotten how gorgeous it looks. The image has then been layered onto various panels cut with Nesties. The flowers and leaves have been punched and roses put in the centres. The roses weren't the right colour so I touched them up with a Promarker. An organza ribbon finishes the card. Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

I have decided to try and get ahead with my Christmas cards this year and am hoping to make one a week. Yeah!, right! let's see how long that lasts, ha! ha!

I've made a start with this one anyway. I have coloured this little fella with pencils and Sakura Stardust pen and added glitter to his hat and the snow. The heart has been die cut and embossed. The snowflakes have been punched. The ribbon is some sticky backed ribbon that I got free with a magazine a long time ago (trying to use up some of my older stash) and has hearts on it too. A few white gems and the card is finished. Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

I have made a gatefold card for a change and have used one of my new 'Simply Adorable' digi stamps. I think these are so gorgeous I couldn't resist them and they are so easy to colour as the shading has been done for you. I started by covering the inside and outside of the card with coordinating blue papers. I then coloured the image with Promarkers and used green chalk for the background. I then layered this onto a Nestie. The square panel behind has been layered with an embossed green panel to which I have added the image using foam pads. A few brown pearls in the corners finishes it off. I stamped and layered a small sentiment adding another pearl. I made two ribbon bows and layered them to finish the card. Isn't this little fairy just the sweetest you've ever seen? I have coloured her with Promarkers adding glitter to her wings and flock to her pom poms and wand. I don't know about you but sometimes I get in a bit of a rut with the colours I use for my cards, usually soft pastels, so 'teal and brown' is quite a change for me. I think it worked rather well though. It also makes a change to make a male card, so much easier to make female ones don't you think. I coloured the cute little dog with Promarkers, inked the dges and layered it with Nesties which I raised with foam pads. The panel underneath has a punched border with two ribbons and three gems added. A circular sentiment and three buttons to finish. Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

Here's a card I made a while ago but haven't shown. The image has been coloured with Promarkers and then I have 'paper pieced' his little outfit and added flock to his hat. I have added satin ribbon to each of the punched borders. To compliment the borders I have punched a couple of hearts which I have placed behind the image. The flowers have brad centres and a few pearls finish the card off. Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

Now for every birthday you must have a cake, so how about this one? I used a template from Card Carousel to make the cake. These templates are so easy to use. The tiers of the cake are made from white pearl card and the stand from gold embossed pearl card. I have edged each tier with lace and then added all the roses. On the top I have used larger roses and punched leaves and added a small punched butterfly. All the roses have had glitter glue added to give some sparkle. Hope you like it as much as I enjoyed making it, thanks for looking.

The image I have used on this card is called 'Mr & Mrs' and is one of the gorgeous new stamps being released on the 11th Jan by LOTV. I have also used one of the new sentiments. I have coloured the image with Promarkers and added Glamour Dust to the veil. The flowers have been die cut while the leaves, corners and heart have been punched using various punches. I have also punched a lace strip which I have covered with spotty paper and the bow is simply made from the paper. A few gems here and there finish it off. Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

For my card I have used a new image and new papers. The image is another of the new LOTV stamps being released on 11th January and this gorgeous one is called 'Free'. I have coloured the image with Promarkers and cut it out using a circular Nestie. I resisted glittering her wings as I thought she would look lovely without. The paper lace has been punched with a MS border punch and I have added pearl flowers. I also added a pearl butterfly to the greeting. I just love the fresh look of my new papers which I got from Pink Petticoat so expect to see them on my cards a lot in the future as I can't get enough of them at the moment.
