Christmas Decoration

Here is a Christmas decoration I have made from a thick piece of cardboard tubing using a pre-coloured dig stamp from Pink Gem.  I added glitter to the image.  I die cut a scalloped circle for the back and attached it to the tubing.  I then attached white glitter washi tape to the inside of the tubing before placing my image inside.  Once placed I added a few sequins for the shaker effect before adding a circle of acetate followed by a circular scalloped frame.  Once it was all dry I added a ribbon hanger, bow and some glittery snowflakes.  Around the middle on the outside I added blue glittery washi tape and some navy ribbon.

Blooming Stencil

Today I have been playing around with a flower stencil that was a magazine freebie.  I have had very little experience with stencils but had this idea in my head to give it a go.  I inked through the stencil with distress inks to give me a golden flower.  I got ink in a bit where it shouldn't be so punched and inked a butterfly to cover my little accident.  After I stamped the sentiment I doodled a couple of flowers in the O's.  A few sparkly gems and my card was finished.  Although it doesn't show in the photo the base card is actually cream coloured so it sets the golden colours off nicely.

Bug & Butterflies

This card is a bit different from my usual ones.

First I die cut the leaf scroll into my base card along with a die cut butterfly.  I then chalked around the apertures before adding a scrap of stripy paper behind.  I then replaced the butterfly and added a small punched one.  I stamped and chalked a sentiment, layered it and attached with foam pads.  Last but not least, I added a die cut ladybird and added crystal glaze to give it some shine.

My image is from Julia Spiri and has been coloured with promarkers.  (I adore these cute baby images).  There is a girl as well but this one could look like a girl if you change the colours and add a bow to the hair.  Anyway, the background paper is from Nitwits and I have added a bow with a teddy button.

Here Comes The Bride...

I fancied making a wedding card today and this is what I made.

My base card is embossed pearl gold.  Next I embossed half of the cream pearl panel and added some ribbon and a bow.  Just under the bow I attached some little tags with a gold heart brad.  Next came the image which I coloured with a mix of promarkers, twinkling H20's and stickles which were applied with a paintbrush to give a very thin layer on the veil.  Having layered the image I attached some more brads.  Before I attached the image to the card I put some punched hearts behind.  Finally some paper roses and leaves finish it off.

Just A Note...

They say there is a first time for everything.  Well, this is one of those times.  It is the first time I have splatted on my card on purpose!!!

I used distress ink pads to create my splat and then stamped some musical notes on top when dry.  A stamped sentiment finishes the card.

I might not be much good at making CAS cards and might not always get it right, but I'm having a go and think this one is ok.

Birthday Bear

Here is a cute little card I have made using the freebies from Beccy Muir.  It is great that you get a free little kit to enter the challenge at Beccy' Place.  I have made a rosette from die cuts to place my image on.  I then coloured a wooden cake with promarkers and attached it to the card.  This was the first time I tried colouring these wooden cakes and am not too sure if I will do it again as I'm not too pleased with it.  Anyway, lastly I added a small sentiment.

Christmas Morning Tilda

I had quite a bit of fun making this Christmas card, cutting out the image and finding lots of L's to incorporate into it.

My Magnolia image has been coloured with promarkers before die cutting with one of my favourite dies.  Trouble was, I couldn't see through the die to position it...  I then had a light bulb moment which surprised me I can tell you.  I first die cut a piece of parchment paper and layed it over my image.  Once I was satisfied, I attached the die with a small bit of tape and slid the parchment out before cutting.  Worked a treat!!!  I layered up the background using a Nitwits paper and a panel of card which I had applied some ribbon threaded lace to, adding a bow.  Finally I attached some die cut lattice corners.  Job done!!!

Wedding/Anniversary

Here is another card I made a while back and never got around to showing.

The background has been created by stamping and embossing swirls in silver.  The image was stamped and embossed onto parchment paper.  I then coloured and embossed it before fussy cutting.  I carefully attached it to pink pearl card and after layering it I added some heart brads, a peel-off and some stickles to the dress.  The sentiment has been stamped, embossed and layered before adding more brads.  A fancy organza ribbon and bow finishes the card off.

Father's Day

Finally I am back from the house renovations in Wales for a few days.  I was supposed to be going for 3 days and ended up staying for 10!!!  We have reached the point where the destruction stops and the construction starts so are pleased we have turned the corner at last.

Today I have made a card for Billy to give to his daddy on Father's Day.  Naturally the inspiration comes from the renovations and how proud my son is of his first attempt at bricklaying (he did a cracking job).

My background is a piece of embossed card I have recycled from the packaging that the folder came in.  I added some distress ink to highlight the bricks and die cut a wavy edge.  The planks of wood are wooden 'lolly' sticks, again with distress ink added.  I then used a bradawl to make some holes and added brads (nails) and a little hammer charm.  My gorgeous digi stamp is from Bugaboo and has been coloured with promarkers.  I made the rosette and stars with die cuts and added a fussy cut sentiment.
