Here is another Christmas card for the box.  This one features an LOTV stamp which I have coloured using promarkers.  The sentiment is from LOTV as well.  Following the sketch I layered my base card with papers from Dovecraft.  The leaves have been die cut and the paper Christmas roses and brads are from my stash.

A Bit Different

This ones a bit different from my usual style.  I was playing around with various dies and this is what I produced.

The front of the base card was cut down to allow for the silver mirri border.  After stamping the sentiment I inked through the die and also used a bit of the ink on the flower.

Red Car

I'm back from this weekend's renovation work for a couple of weeks, only to start stripping the walls in my bedroom.  I had a bit of a leak a while back so the wallpaper needs re-doing.  No rest for the wicked!!!

Anyway, I have a little card for you that I made ages ago and never showed.  The base card has been simply layered and I have embossed the top layer with a zig-zag embossing folder.  The stamped image from Stampin Up has been coloured with promarkers and a sentiment added before attaching with foam pads.  A bit of card candi finishes it off.

Kind Hearts...

Ok, so I have made another card I didn't think I would have time to make.

For this one I have used one of my favourite quote from Woodware.  Love this gorgeous digi stamp from Besties, just look at that hair!!!  I have coloured her with promarkers, fussy cut her and attached with foam pads.  The flower, leaves and pearl brad are from my stash and are years old.  I coloured the paper flower with a promarker and sprayed it with glimmer mist (another long lost find).

Challenges

Besties - Circles
Cute Card Thursday (422) - Add A Quotation

Emma's Flower

I think this might be the last one today as I am back up to Wales again tomorrow to carry on with the renovating.  We are still at the 'ripping out' stage and using the bathroom as a makeshift kitchen now that the kitchen has gone.  Trouble is, we are ripping out the bathroom this weekend!!!  Luckily we are keeping sink and toilet for the time being, PHEW!!!

Onto my card which features one of my favourite flowers from Little Claire that I have coloured with pencils.  I love this stamped sentiment from Stampendous and think it goes well with this card.  The butterflies have been punched from both card and gingham paper and been offset to add movement.  I added gems to the butterflies and the sentiment.

Challenges

Little Claire (68) - Spring Colours
Simon Says (Monday) - Butterfly Beauty

Young Love

Here is a sweet card in shades of blue.  The stamp is from Mo's Digital Pencil and has been coloured with promarkers.  The papers are from Nitwits and the sentiment ribbon slider and ribbon are from my stash.  (I didn't even know I had the slider!!!).  The hearts and border have been punched and the bunting die cut with my new dies.

Another Dragon!

Here is another dragon card I have quickly made.  This one has a pre-coloured digi and paper from Beccy Muir.  It is simply layered and I have added a stamped sentiment from a very old set of stamps that I came across.  They must be at least 10 years old but still in very good condition.  Just goes to show, don't throw anything out because you might use it again one day!!!

Puff The Magic Dragon

Here is a little card inspired by the song "Puff The Magic Dragon" sung by Peter, Paul and Mary in 1963.  I loved this when I was a child and sang it to my children when they were little, so they loved it too.

My digi stamp is from Bugaboo and has been coloured with promarkers and layered with die cut mats.  The borders have been punched and layered with little gems added.  The sentiment is from LOTV and has been layered onto a star die cut.  The backing paper is from Paper Adventures and the ric rac ribbon is from my stash.

Winter Wishes

Another Christmas card today made in lovely pinks and blues.

I started with a square white base card and this I covered with blue polka dot paper.  I then added some snowflake acetate which I attached on left side only.  Next I added a pink panel which I attached a border of paper and stamped the sentiment on.  A bit of die cut holly came next.  My stamp is from Pink Gem and has been coloured with promarkers and stickles.

Birthday Boy

Today I have made a CAS male card using the three primary colours.  The sentiment stamp is from Pink Gem and the VW camper stamp is from Hobby Art.  Each stamp has been heat embossed and layered onto matching squares.  I added a bit of faux stitching for interest.  The sentiment has been stamped directly onto the card blank and I could not resist adding a small gem.

It's ages since I made an easel card so I thought I would make one today using one of my favourite images from Whoopsi Daisy which I have coloured with promarkers.  All the papers are from a 'Me To You' pad which was a magazine freebie.  All the flowers are die cut and I have embossed them to shape and added some gems.  The ribbon is from my stash.

Time For A Cuppa...

Here is my simple take on this week's sketch.  The stamp is an old one from LOTV (not sure if it's still available) and I have coloured it with promarkers.  I then layered it and attached with foam pads.  The paper is a bit out of my scrapbox and compliments the polka dots on her headscarf and teapot.  A bit of cupcake washi tape finishes the card off.

Belated

I had a little play earlier as I wanted to see if I could come up with a card for the 'Less Is More' challenge.  The problem is, I don't have any geometric stamps except these which I hope will be acceptable.  The stamps are from Hero Arts and I have randomly stamped and heat embossed them having first masked off the area.  I then drew two lines with a promarker.  I finished off with a stamped and embossed sentiment.  With hindsight, I should have used stronger coloured inks for the stamping.

Less Is More - One Layer/Geometric

Recycled/Upcycled Baskets

Here are a couple of baskets I have recycled/upcycled to store my smaller bits of ribbon in.  Both baskets originally had pot plants in them.  Having given them a good wash I then gave them a new coat of acrylic paint to match my craft room.  I then wound some gingham ribbon around the handle of the first basket and glued the ends in place.  On both baskets I then glued frilly gingham ribbon around the top edge.  To finish off I made some ribbon bows and added flowers.

Floral

Here is a pretty little card I have made using Woodware stamps.  First I embossed the background using one of my dies and then fussy cut it out.  I then stamped the flowers and coloured them with promarkers.  After attaching to the base card with foam pads I added some gems around the edge.  The sentiment is simply stamped and layered with die cut panels and a little ribbon bow added.  Finally a few card candi in the corners finishes the card.

100 Year Old Card!

Today's card has been made with pearl card as you can see by the shine of the camera.  All the backing layers have been die cut, including the corners.  The butterfly is a peel-off on parchment paper.  The numbers are wood that I have painted with acrylic paint and glittered.  The leaves have been punched and the flowers are from Wild Orchid.

The size of the card is A4 and I am very pleased at how it all came out.

Today I have die cut a step card (so easy now I have a die to cut them out with).  I then added some pretty swirly paper from my scrapbox.  My image is a favourite by Elisabeth Bell and I have coloured her with promarkers and chalk.  I attached resin roses to the sides and pearls to the main part.  I die cut some swirls and placed these behind the sentiment which I added some more pearls to.

Spring Butterfly

The Sring like colours of this card are inspired by the above picture.  I made my own background by stamping swirls onto rainbow coloured paper with a dye ink.  The flowers are a digital download print which I printed onto pearl card before fussy cutting and shaping.  I added some stickles to the centres.  To make the butterfly I first stamped and heat embossed onto parchment paper.  I then dry embossed the butterfly using an embossing tool before attaching with silicone glue.
