Too Much Tequila???

Simon Says - Anything Goes
Charisma Cardz (51) - Anything Goes
Cute Card Thursday (249) - Anything Goes
Card Crafters Circle (55) - Anything Goes
Stamping For The Weekend (24) - Anything Goes

Anybody would think it was me who had had too much tequila.  Why?  Because I have just realised that I had added this card to my favourite five post WITHOUT having posted it on my blog before.  There it was sitting in my 'spares' folder laughing at me so I think I had better show it to you properly, don't you?

I made this card a while ago using one of my favourite Bugaboo images.  The image has been coloured with promarkers and I have added faux stitching around the edge.  The word has been die cut and I finished the card with a few star gems.  Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

Today I have a card that I was asked to make for a friend's nieces birthday.  As she plays the saxaphone I had to try and find an image that was suitable.  Mo Manning to the rescue!  She had just the right image as you can see.  I coloured the image with promarkers and added a few peel-off musical notes.  I also added a couple of new little tag stamps to the image.  The corners are die cut with one of my favourite Marianne dies and I have added a little gem to each one.  Across the middle is some gorgeous new lace.  Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

My Favourite Five Cards Of 2012

Debby is hosting her 'My Favourite Five of 2012' challenge today.  Why not pop on over here and join in the fun?

My first card is a WOW card with a Whoopsi Daisy image.  I love the image and all the sparkle on this one.

Another one with a favourite Whoopsi Daisy image.  I love how my colouring turned out and the gorgeous colours.

This is one of my favourite LOTV stamps.  I love the shape of the card and the ribbon threaded lace.

This was a very special card using my favourite LOTV wedding stamp and again the ribbon threaded lace.  It is also a very rare parchment card.

Last but not least, a fun card using a Bugaboo image.  I just love these fun images and the bright colours of this one.

I hope you have enjoyed looking at my favourite five, thanks for looking.

Christmas Crackers

Challenges

Card Crafters Circle (60) - Christmas
That Craft Place - Christmas

Here I am with my last post before Christmas so I thought I would show you the crackers I have made for the table.  This is the first time I have had a go at these so they are not very good, but hey, we will still have fun pulling them.  I have used white tissue paper and added some festive ribbon.  The decorations is just a nestie oval topped with a gold poinsettia using a Marianne die.  Hope you like them, thanks for looking.

HAPPY CHRISTMAS TO YOU ALL!

My Favourite Five Christmas Cards of 2012

Debby is hosting her 'My Favourite Five Christmas Cards Of 2012' Challenge today.  Why not pop on over here and join in the fun?

I love everything about this one.  The colours are quite unusual for me.  The image and papers are Whoopsi Daisy.

Believe it or not but I like the CAS look of this one.  The dove stamp is Anita's.

I don't like distressing my cards but I love how this WOW card turned out.  The stamp is LOTV.

Another LOTV one.  Love the colours and digi papers from Nitwit Collections on this one.

Love this sweet little robin from Pink Gem and the pink and brown colour scheme.  I also love how my punched flowers came out.

I'm afraid that I had to include a sixth one.  I could not leave this one out as I discovered how to make these Triple Easels this year and just love them.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing my favourite Christmas cards, thanks for looking.

Here is a card I have made for a friend who will be sixty on Friday.  I thought it would make a change if I made him a funny one this year, nothing like rubbing it in!!!  I have followed the great sketch and layered the card using some of my newest digi papers.  I coloured the image with promarkers adding diamond glaze to his glasses and clock and glitter to his balloons.  A cake decoration and a couple of pearls finishes the card.  Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

Here are a couple of things I have made for the table on Christmas Day.  First is a floral arrangement I have made for the centre of the table using bits I found in the discount shops and leftover decorations.  The holly/berries were from Wilkinsons and I managed to get three bits from each one.

I was inspired to make the sleighs when I saw them on Jak Heath's blog here.  Mine are not nearly as good as hers though, but I am sure they will be enjoyed just as well.  I searched high and low for some chocolate Santas to put on the front but all I could find were these mini ones, along with mini reindeer.  As they were so small I had to build a platform for them to stand on.  I did this by using a chocolate coin.  Hope you like my little makes, thanks for looking.

Thursday again which means it is time for a new challenge at Lili's Little Fairies.  This week we want to see your 'Christmas Cards'.  Nice and easy as I expect, like me, you have a lot of last minute ones to make still.

For this card I have used one of the Mini Masterpieces die-cut sheets and as I didn't have to colour the image I managed to make the card quite quickly.  I kept it very simple as it is for a little boy.  Although you can't see it in the photo I layered my navy blue base card first with silver mirri card and then this gorgeous paper.  I then attached a large die-cut snowflake, again made with silver mirri card.  I then die-cut a scalloped mat for my image using a nestie.  Next I punched some photo corners and attached them to the corners of the image.  If you look very closely you will see the join.  Finally I added some glitter glue to the image and some gems to the corners.  Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

Time for a new challenge at Whoopsi Daisy and this week we want you to make a 'Christmas Card' which should help with your last minute cards.  It would be great if you could use one of Linnie's fabulous images too.

My card is very simple this week as I have just layered up the base card with papers and cardstock.  I then die-cut some corners and attached them before adding gold glitter glue to the spaces in the die-cut.  I coloured my image with promarkers and added diamond glaze to the pussy cat's eyes and the holly berries.  I also distressed around the image with chalk.  Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

Whoops!!!

Guess who's just realised she is late with posting her DT cards???  Don't worry, I will be back later with them.

Sorry I have not posted anything for a while but life has been very hectic the last week or so.  I thought I would show you one of the reasons why.

I have been very busy making things for my first visit as a stallholder to the Portsmouth Victorian Christmas Festival which was held last weekend.  A very busy and tiring three days but absolutely fantastic!!!  Next year if you want a fabulous day out with the family I highly recommend you go 29th Nov - 1st Dec 2013.  You can have a look at their website here.  There was so much going on all day long and the entertainers were all fantastic, I even started to interact with them which was great fun.  A truly magical Christmas experiance!  Here is a little taster from Sunday.

Having a jolly old sing song

Dickensian Snow Street (I was here)

Having fun at the fair

This nice man offered me a job next year

A royal visit

And finally, the star of the show, Scrooge (he was so funny)

Hopefully now I have had a bit of a rest things will start getting back to normal.  Yeah right!  With Christmas around the corner I suppose I will have to go up in the loft and find the decorations and put them up.  Also I will be doing all the cooking for the first time in over ten years so I had better start thinking of that as well.  Oh well, no rest for the wicked!!!  Have a great day, thanks for looking.
