OK, so there's no sun in this one - but I have used the right colours!!! This is a card I made for my youngest son's birthday and as you can see he is into the 'World Of Warcraft' video game. I found the images on the internet and used one for the background, one for the title and another which I printed several times and decoupaged. The decoupage and title have been layered and popped up with 3D foam pads. Although it was kept simple he was absolutely thrilled with it.
For this card I have used pearl cardstock & paper throughout. Having cut the base card and punched the border strips and layered them with the yellow ribbon I then added a CD which I sparkled-up using a brilliance inkpad and embossing powder. (When doing this put the CD on a heatproof surface and don't overheat the CD. Also, make sure it has cooled down before touching it or you could burn yourself!). I used a die-cut image of Primrose for the centre adding sparkle to her wings and colouring the flowers with a Sakura Stardust pen. The greeting was stamped and layered with a bit of glitter glue brushed over the top. I then stamped a small butterfly on the ribbon and added more glitter glue to it. The roses have also been dipped in glitter before adding them to the rest of the flowers and punched leaves. To finish off I added a few pearls. I think I went a bit glitter mad on this one! Hope you like it.

Here is the second girlie from the new Lili Of The Valley stamps to be released on 10th March. This one is called 'Me And My Cat'.
Again I have followed a great sketch and tried to use 'Spring' like colours. I have added the words 'friends forever' to the stamped image, they are NOT included on the stamp. I have also added the little dragonflies to the sentiment. The flowers are punched from cardstock.

Here is the first of the two new girlie stamps to be released by Lili Of The Valley on 10th March. This one is called 'Me And My Pony'. A great stamp for all those pony loving little girls.
I have followed the lovely sketch from Paperplay and used the colour combo from Colour Create. I even managed to add the optional extras in the shape of silver hologram hearts AND silver horshoes (which I toned down with metallic rub-ons).

Here is the last of the new puddy-tat designs being released by Lili Of The Valley on 10th March. Two girlie ones to come... This one is also very versatile as it is suitable for so many occassions and ages.
Following the great sketch from Friday sketchers, I have covered the base card with a lovely bright, circle patterned paper (to take the harshness off of the black card). The reverse of this paper is the plain green bit I have used for the rectangle behind the image. I coloured the image with pencils to try and give him a 'dark tortoiseshell' colour (I had a lovely cat this colour once). I added some faux stitching along the edges with a MLP pen. I finished off with a couple of sentiments and some fabric flowers. Hope you like it.

Here is another of the cute little puddy-tats that Lili Of The Valley are releasing on 10th March, this time with a lovely birthday cake. I have followed the fantastic sketch from Charisma Cardz for this card. I have kept the card simple but think I should have gone for darker punched flowers, although, they do show up better in real life.

I am entering this card for the above challenges and as you can see it is a bright, get well soon card for Mum (check out the tag on the bunch of flowers). The three embellishments are - triple embossed hearts/metal heart brads/glittery gems. Hope you like this one.
This week at LOTV we have a lovely sketch for you to follow, I have turned it around for my card. I decided to try a wedding card this week and used one of the new LOTV Spring stamps that are selling fast. This one is called 'Wedding Carriage' which I think is delightful. I also wanted to try out a slightly different colour scheme, what do you think? Does it work?
The base card is cream/gold pearl card and what looks brown is in fact bronze/gold pearl card. The backing paper is gold pearl that I embossed with a Cuttlebug folder. The flowers are punched with pearl centres. The image has been coloured usingpencils and Sakura stardust pens for the bride's dress and veil. I finished it off with some matching organza ribbon down the side. Hope you like it.

I can't believe it is a fortnight since I last posted a card, where has the time gone??? My apologies to all my lovely, patient followers. I did, however, have a little play around the other day with my heart-shape Nesties and thought you might like to see what I came up with.
This was the first card I did with the hearts cut from card, shaped and layered.
For the second one I decided to emboss the larger petals.
For the third one I had a go with paper instead of card and scallop-edged hearts instead of plain.
This week at LOTV we are challenging you to make a Valentines card. As you can see I have made another easel card (I adore these cards!).
Having made the base card I then covered each section with silver mirri card and a heart design paper. I then cut a strip of red card and onto this placed white paper with a heart border edge and added some red ric-rac ribbon. This was placed along the bottom of both sections. I stamped and layered the sentiment and attached to the lower section with foam pads. The image on the top section is one of LOTV's new Spring release stamps called 'Over The Garden Wall' which I coloured with pencils. I finished the card by adding punched flowers and a silver heart button.

This sweet valentine card was another commission which I made earlier today (in my favourite colour). The image was coloured using pencils and the bubbles were highlighted with Diamond Glaze for a watery effect. The hearts were die cut using Nesties and embossed with a Cuttlebug folder. The flowers were punched from matching paper and a gem added to the centres. Another MS border punch was used on the card strips.
This is a card I was recently commissioned to do and I just heard today that the happy couple loved it, phew!
I made an offset gatefold card using pearl card which I punched down the edges using a MS border punch. I then cut out and deoupaged the cute image and placed it on the front. I won't be doing this one again in a hurry, it took me ages to cut the trellis arch. I then cut out the tag and placed this on the other side and finished it off with peel-offs for the names etc. Inside, the verse was computer generated and placed onto card and paper layers that also had the edges puched.
Another easel card, can't make enough of these lately... The image is one of the new LOTV stamps which you can now buy here. As usual it is coloured with pencils and I have used chalk around the edges. I recently found the ribbons in a discount store (5 x 1 metre) for only £1.00, what a bargain!
