NEW Challenge Blog starts 8th January 2009

Great news - another card challenge is starting on Thursday 8th January 2009. It is the Charisma Cardz Challenges Blog. They will be having challenges every week and you can use whatever images etc that you want. I am looking forward to having a go. Why not click on the link and have a look. Good luck girls I hope it's a success. Thanks for looking.

Hugs... Dutch Dare Challenge

This card was made following the sketch for the Dutch Dare Challenge 29. The main stamp is from ECG. I don't know who made the greeting stamp as it doesn't have a name on it. The base card is from a pick'n'mix at my local craft shop while the other papers are free downloads. The image is watercoloured (not very well as I was tired) using Faber Castell Pencils. Thanks for looking.
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!

NEW Challenge Blog starts 5th January 2009

New year - new challenge!

There is a new craft challenge blog starting on Monday 5th January where you follow a sketch AND use your NEW stash, what a great idea! Sometimes I buy something I like the look of and then don't get to play with it for ages, usually because it gets lost in the chaos I call my craftroom. I have put the details below but click on the link and have a look. They are also giving away Blog Candy.

Sketch And Stash Challenge Blog

"The Challenge
Every 2 weeks there will be a sketch to follow. You can rotate the sketch, resize the elements and add extra elements if needed. The second part of the challenge is to use your newest stash on your card. You can use a new paper, new stamp, new embellishments etc. They can all be new or just one thing which is new, that's up to you! When you're posting your card on your blog please let everyone know what your new item is, the make or manufacturer and a link to where you bought it from if possible! But most importantly, HAVE FUN!!"

I am still trying to re-organise my craft room, seems to be taking forever but I have to go to work in between. I will try to make a card or two and post them later today. Meanwhile I hope you all had a great christmas with lots of new crafting goodies to play with. Thanks for looking.

Santa came back today...

WooHoo! Santa came back and brought these Whimsey stamps with him, can't wait to try them out.

They are my prize from the Stamp Something Challenge Blog (thank you ladies) where the theme was 'red, green & gold'. I made the card shown here using a freebie background paper. I then cut a bottle shape out of green mirri board and used the foil from my dairy spread (recycled) for the top of the bottle. I then cut out a label shape and stamped and embossed it with part of a Hero Arts stamp. The greeting at the top was stamped using a Studio G Clear Stamp. To finish off I die cut the numbers on my Cuttlebug using gold pearl board. Thanks for looking.

Santa came early...

WooHoo! Look what arrived today!

This cute little stamp is my prize from the Dutch Dare Cards Challenge that I won. (We had to make a card with scalloped edges which you can see above). Thank you ladies I look forward to playing with it. The beautiful card came with it and was made by the very talented Karin Hoeve. Why not pop over to her blog and see her wonderful creations, thank you Karin. Thanks for looking.
Merry Christmas Everyone!

Creative Chaos...

I've not done any cardmaking today as I got it into my head to re-organise my craft room!!! Honestly, only a mad person decides to do this sort of thing at this time of year! You would think I had better things to do like a nice quiet bit of stamping, but no, as you can see by the photo I really do live in 'creative chaos' and I suddenly realised I couldn't see much of my workspace so I needed to tidy up. The trouble with me it has to be all or nothing so now I am reorganising the WHOLE room. I will post a photo when I can find the room again ha!ha! Thanks for looking.

Stamp Something/Dutch Dare Challenge

I have made this card using the sketch from this week's 'Stamp Something' challenge using scraps of cardstock I have in my scrapbox. The image stamp is WoodwareTapestry Rose which my friend Sue has lent me for a while, thanks Sue. I used the 'masking' technique to get three flowers and have watercoloured this with Marvy Le Plume pens. The greeting stamp is by Katie & Co. I can't remember where I got the butterfly charm. As the challenge this week at 'Dutch Dare' is charms I think this will fit the criteria. Thanks for looking.

Welcome to my creative chaos

Hi and welcome to my creative chaos space.

Well, I've done it now...My friend Jenny has a lot to answer for... It all started when she created her blog which I read regularly. From there I started to explore other crafter's blogs and then found the CARD CHALLENGES!!! I am now totally addicted so I thought it was about time I started my own little blog.

I haven't a clue what I am doing yet so you will have to forgive me while I learn but I hope you will pop in now and then to see what I have been getting up to. Thanks for looking.
