After matting and layering my base card using a pretty paper from Nitwits I stamped my fairy from Kanban and coloured her with promarkers adding a sentiment and some glitter glue. Once die cut I attached with foam pads. Finally, I added some paper flowers and flower gems.

I was having a messy session the other day with alcohol and distress inks to see if I could make some decent backgrounds. The one above was made with alcohol inks on glossy paper.
Having layered my card base I stamped a flower border. Next I stamped my fairy onto the background paper and die cut and matted it, attaching to the card with d/s tape. I then stamped the sentiment, die cut and matted. This I attached with foam pads to lift it. Finally I added a bit of glitter glue.
All stamps used were magazine freebies.

Not a colour combo I would normally think of putting together so I really had to think what to do. Guess that is why they are called challenges!
My stamp is from Pergamano and I coloured her with promarkers and added some crystal glaze. The design paper is from Nitwits and the sentiment from Hunkydory. I cut some washi tape to make fishtails and applied behind my image.

One for the boys this time. The stamps are more magazine freebies that I have coloured with promarkers. I added a die cut anchor which I applied gilding wax to.

I do love pastel colours and much prefer them to traditional reds and greens on Christmas cards so naturally, I had to have this gorgeous paper from Crafters Companion didn't I?
I coloured my Bugaboo penguin image with promarkers and added some tiny snowflake peel-offs before cutting and matting using some stitching nesting dies. I attached the image with foam pads whilst keeping everything else flat for posting. Behind the image is a couple of die cut fir trees which I have added glitter glue to. The sentiment (another magazine freebie), has been stamped and heat embossed in silver. Nearly forgot, you can't have too much glitter and sparkle at Christmas so I added more with the ribbon!!!

This card features one of the gorgeous floral stamps that were a magazine freebie recently. The minute I saw it I had to have it.
I stamped my image with grey for a softer look and then coloured it with promarkers. After stamping my word (another magazine freebie), I framed the image with chalk using an oval die as a stencil. I then added three little butterflies that I punched from recycled packaging.

Starting with my base card I added a mat and some design paper from Nitwits. I then stamped a background onto my tag with distress ink adding a stamped sentiment and ribbon bow. I coloured my C.C. Design image with promarkers, fussy cut and attached with foam pads. Then I attached it to my base card with foam pads. My leaves are die cut and I found some paper flowers in my stash and added some tiny gems.

Another old sentiment stamp which I took off of it's wooden block without making a note of the make, sorry.
All the stamps have been heat embossed (anything to keep warm...). The flourish is from Debbi Moore and the border one is a magazine freebie.

Here is Candy Pip sitting pretty on her die cut bench. She is an old stamp from Sugar Nellie (no longer) and I have coloured her with promarkers and attached her with foam pads. The stamped sentiment is from LOTV and the design paper from Nitwits. The die cut border is a magazine freebie and I have added some gems to it. The little paper flowers are from my stash with gems also added.

I have coloured my very old Whoopsi Daisy (now Linnie Pink Designs) digi stamp with promarkers and added a tiny star gem for a necklace. My two design papers are from a very old Papermania pad and the sentiment from Hunkydory. I think the die cut border was a magazine freebie and cuts very well. I added some pearls to the border and a die cut flourish behind the image.

Here is a new digi stamp I got from the Paper Shelter, ideal for today's teenager. Now I need one similar, but for a boy...
The funky papers I have used are very old ones from The Paper Cellar. The sentiment stamp on the die cut is from LOTV. I have placed a die cut doily behind my image, I didn't want one too lacy as I didn't think it would go with the modern theme of the card. I have coloured my image with promarkers and added a bit of glossy accents to her eyes. I then punched and fussy cut a circle, adding a black gem to make the pacman. A few card candi and the card is done.

While taking some stamps off their wooden blocks I came across this old favourite sentiment which I have heat embossed along with the little flower stamp. I added some satin ribbon to the border panel as well.
I can't tell you the make of the stamps I have taken off of the wooden blocks as I threw the blocks away before I realised I didn't re-label them, duh!

For this card I have used this cute little kitty from Bugaboo and coloured him with promarkers. The sentiment has been stamped and heat embossed.
I have always had cats as I love their independent attitudes, and they have a calming effect when they decide to let you stroke them and cuddle them. Sadly I have not been able to have any cats for the last few years as I found I had become allergic to them.

I have used a lovely Magnolia stamp for this card and I have coloured her with promarkers and paper pieced her dress. The corners have been punched and pearls added. I'm not sure where the printed sentiment came from as it is soo old. I think it was a freebie, but who knows...

For this card I have used this cute little baby croc digi stamp and design paper that is a freebie from Beccy's Place. Who would think that a croc could be so cute???
I have coloured my image with promarkers and fussy cut him before attaching with foam pads. The tree trunk has been embossed with a folder and inked with distress inks. My die cut foliage is cut from recycled packaging. The sentiment stamp iwas a magazine freebie. Lastly, I added a couple of wooden creatures which I also coloured with promarkers.

This is more my usual style as I do like to add embellishments to my cards but I shall still have a go at the CAS style.
I started by matting and layering my base card using a lovely paper from Nitwits. I then die cut a panel and added some recycled ribbon. Next I attached some paper flowers and punched leaves adding a card candi to the flower. Finally, I stamped, heat embossed, and die cut my sentiment attaching it to the card with foam pads

Still playing with my stamp platform and trying to crack the CAS style cards...
For the first card I stamped directly onto my card blank and then practiced stamping the sentiment inside the hearts. I then heat embossed my images. Not sure I like the composition of this one. I think it would look better if the images were a bit more random and mat and layered, maybe even decoupaged for depth.
For my second card I mat and layered my base card. This time I wanted to practice overlaying my stamps so used these gorgeous splatter stamps from Honey Doo. I used watercolour card and distress ink pads so that hopefully, they would blend where they overlapped. The magazine freebie sentiment was heat embossed. I think this one looks better as the matting and layering adds a frame around the design and makes it stand out more.
Anyway, as said in the previous post, warts and all, I shall show my efforts...

I have been playing around with a new 'toy' that arrived on Friday - a stamping platform! I am also still practicing ink blending with distress ink pads (not very successfully). Even so, warts and all, I will show you the cards I make and hopefully they will get better as I go along.
With this card I found a scrap of embossed card and applied the distress ink pad directly over it. Using the stamping platform I stamped my christmas cats using the masking technique. I then coloured them with promarkers and used the distress ink around the edges using a blending tool to apply. Once these were attached to my card base I could not resist stamping a little flourish at the top.
All stamps used were magazine freebies.

Time for a 'fancy fold' card I think so here is a 'stepper' one I made with cream and gold pearl card stock. I coloured my Mo's digi stamp with promarkers and added some little confetti peel offs. The sentiment is from Hunkydory and I have added some paper roses.
