Tag Card

This is the last card for a week as I am off to start renovating my son's new home.  It is a complete renovation job, knocking walls down, stripping, wiring...  Just about everything as the place hasn't been touched since the 60's!!!

Anyway, onto my card which features a Magnolia stamp which I have coloured with promarkers.  I made her into a tag by cutting the corners and adding an eyelet and piece of recycled ribbon.  The background paper is from Nitwits and the sentiment from my stash, as is the flowers.  The flowers in the centres are in fact lace daisies.

Just playing around...

Here is me 'just playing around' with some of my neglected stash and rubbish.  I made the background using a new wood stamp from Stampin Up.  I used brown ink to stamp onto beige card and then went lightly over it with distress inks.  The flowerpot has been die cut and inked.  The ivey has also been die cut out of packaging.  The flowers are bits from the centre of bubble aperture cards which I have attached with foam pads and coloured with promarkers.  The hedgies and bugs are all Penny Black stickers.

Mariella

A long time ago I bought a card kit from Crafter's Companion featuring gorgeous little fairies (I actually went on to buy the stamps as well).  Here is the only card I have made from it so far.  As you can see it is a shaped easel card using a gorgeous topper, sentiment and border.  The leaves I have added are punched and the flowers and brads are from my stash.

Have A Hoot...

Here is a cute little owl from Woodware.  He has been stamped and coloured with promarkers and then fussy cut.  The branch and flowers also.  The sentiment is simply stamped and layered using dies.  I can't remember for the life of me where the background papers came from, but aren't they a gorgeous mint green?

Easter Chicks

Here is a quick and simple card made using chipboards that were a magazine freebie.  The main chipboard image was attached to a layered panel by foam pads as was the sentiment.  The background paper was an offcut from my scrap box.  A few card candi to finish.

Easter Bonnet

A bit of 'artistic licence' going on here as I don't really make Easter cards for anyone.  I was thinking of Easter when I spotted this gorgeous digi from Pink Gem and thought she looked as if she had her Easter bonnet on.  Anyway, I have coloured her with promarkers and layered her up.  The backing paper is also from Pink Gem.  I have added some lace with ribbon threaded through to the bottom.  A few flowers and brads from my stash finish the card.

Reindeer & Robin

Today's card features a cute little reindeer and robin topper from Pink Gem which I have layered and added stickles to.  The background has been created by embossing through a stencil and inking with distress ink which I have never done before (I wasn't sure it would work but am pleased with the results.  I added some more stickles to the branches.

Spring Bunny

Here is the last one for today.

The background paper is an old bit I found in the scrapbox.  I have die cut the wooden bench from some recycled wood effect paper used in advertising.  The digi bunny is from Graphic Garden and has been coloured with promarkers and pencils and then sat on the bench using foam pads.  The shrub is a die cut tree from Spellbinders that I have cut down.  To this I have added little paper flowers with gem centres.  The sentiment is from my stash.

For Mother-In-Law

Here is nice simple card.  Following the sketch I attached two lots of backing paper to my base card.  Then I printed and coloured the digi image from Besties with promarkers and pencils.  Layered her and attached with foam pads.  I added a Hunkydory sentiment to one of the corners.  I then added buttons with ribbon to the other corners.

Butterfly

The technique I have used on this card is completely new to me.  I was watching Crafters Companion on Hochanda this morning and got inspired to try and do the same sort of thing.  The idea was to die cut something into your card and then emboss it adding some distress ink around the edges and the aperture.  Needless to say, this is not my usual style but I enjoyed doing it.

I replaced the butterfly onto the aperture, added some gems and a bit of twisted florist's wire to show where it had flown.

Kind Hearts

Today I have made a base card and added a die cut border from a very old Cuttlebug die (do you remember it?), I then added some punched flowers with a bit of stickles in the centres.

Next I embossed the white card using a Marianne die and chalked it.  I then stamped the sentiment from Woodware.  Finally, I added a few punched butterflies and also added some stickles to them.
