I thought I would show you the card I have made for the proud parents to be.  As my daughter-in-law is from China I wanted to incorporate some special Chinese colours for luck on their card.  Hence the red, gold, yellow and green.  Anyway, I have coloured the image with promarkers and distressed with green ink.  I threaded gold ribbon through the lace before attaching it to the card.  I have followed this week's great sketch and will probably use it again.  The panels are a bit hidden but they are there.  A few gorgeous flowers and a sentiment finish the card.  Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

Time for another challenge at Lili's Little Fairies and this week the theme is 'White With A Hint Of Colour'.

I have made another twisted easel card this week but this time it is a Christmas card.  I have coloured the image with promarkers and added white flowersoft to her wings and glitter to the snowflakes and snow.  The snowflakes and leaves have been punched and I have added some gorgeous flowers.  The sentiment finishes the card.  Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

Here is a little almost white on white card that I made yesterday using one of the cute little angels from LOTV.  Following the great sketch (turned) I added some dry embossed panels which I distressed with ink, glittered and attached star brads before attaching with foam pads.  Next I die-cut a border which I then distressed with ink before adding sparkly ribbon.  I attached this with D/S tape.  Having stamped and coloured my image with promarkers I cut and layered it using nesties.  I then added some gem stars before attaching with foam pads.  To finish the card I added some satin leaves and paper roses.  Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

Time for another challenge for you at Whoopsi Daisy and this week we want to see 'Things With Wings'.  An ideal time to dust off all your little fairies and spread a little magic.

I have coloured my gorgeous fairy with promarkers and chalk and added glitter to her wings.  The border behind her has been punched with a scallop punch and I have added some lace.  The flowers and leaves have been die cut and I have added resin roses to the centres.  A simple sentiment finishes the card.  Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

Exciting News!!!

I thought it would be nice if I shared my exciting news with you all.


After being told for more years than I can remember that I will never be a grandmother I got the news the other day that my middle son and his wife are expecting a baby!!! Moreover it is due a week before my next birthday in May. What a great birthday present, I can hardly believe it!

First off I would like to apologise for the late posting of my challenge card.  Sadly I had to attend an old friend's funeral yesterday so was not in the mood for blogging and I hadn't scheduled the card.

Anyway, enough of that, back to the card.....

This week the challenge at Lili's Little Fairies is called 'Flower Power' so we want to see lots of flowers on your creations, nice and easy.  Be sure to check out all the DT's wonderful creations for more inspiration.

This week I have made a twisted easel card.  I started the front by covering my base card with this gorgeous digi paper followed by a doily.  I then coloured my sweet girly image with promarkers and added white flowersoft to her wings before cutting and layering with a nestie.  I then die-cut some leaves and added small punched flowers and placed pearls in the centres.  A punched butterfly and a few gems finishes the front of the card.  For the inside I again covered the base card with the same paper and attached the sentiment with foam pads.  Again I placed the same leaves but this time I added larger punched flowers and placed paper roses in the centres.  Another punched butterfly and some gems finishes the card off.  Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

It's a long time since I inked up this stamp which is quite suprising as it is one of my many favourites.  Anyway, I have coloured her with promarkers and chalk and added glitter to her wings.  Following the great sketch I layered up my card with these gorgeous yellow and green digi papers.  A bit of a shame that some are almost hidden.  I did think that the plain white card looked a bit lost so I inked the edges with rose pink to highlight them a bit.  To the side of the image I have added a die-cut leaf, also inked, and a layered paper flower.  A few yellow card candis finishes the card.  Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

Time for another challenge at Lili's Little Fairies.  This week we want you to get your eyes down to play 'Embellishment Bingo'.

Instead of a card I have altered a large candle jar again.  From the bingo card I have used glitter/gems/flowers but also added ribbon and punched paper lace.  My images have been coloured with promarkers and glitter.  The lid has been decorated with punched leaves and paper flowers with gems in the centres.  A luscious ribbon finishes the jar off nicely.  Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

I have made a wedding card this week with this beautiful image.  I fell in love with this one the minute I saw it.  I have coloured her with promarkers as usual.  I have made a little arch with punched flowers and leaves and a few paper roses.  Although you can't see them very well, the punched flowers and leaves are pearl and parchment papers, to give a bit of sheen.  Down the side I have added ribbon threaded lace topped with a bow.  A stamped sentiment finishes the card.  Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

As you can see I have made a rocker card.  This stamp makes me think the little boy has just started a new term at Hogwarts and his uniform is way too big for him.  The image has been coloured with promarkers and chalk and I have die cut the letters.  A simple sentiment finishes it off.  Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

Once I had layered my card I added a lace heart doily which I inked around the edges with pink and green ink.  I coloured my image with promarkers and attached it with foam pads.  Next I added some spotty ribbon along the bottom and attached a simple sentiment.  After adding the bunting I die-cut a swirl and added some white flower and butterfly buttons.  I finished it off by adding pearls to the centres of the flower ones.  Not one of my best cards (had a headache) but I hope you like it, thanks for looking.

Here is a fun card I made this week for my son's birthday.  As you can see it is another rocker card.  The image has been coloured with promarkers and I have added diamond glaze to his glasses and balloon.  I stamped and coloured some balloons and stuck them to cocktail sticks (so they didn't fly away, hehe) and covered them with more diamond glaze.  A little chipboard sentiment finished the card off.  Hope you like it, thanks for looking.
