Time for another challenge at Lili's Little Fairies and this week we want to see 'Anything But Square'.  So put your thinking caps on and let's see what shapes you come up with.  Don't forget that you must use an LOTV image on your wonderful creations.

The other day I saw a fantastic teapot shaped card on a blog and was so impressed with it that I had to have a go myself.  You must go over and check out Anja's beautiful creations, she even gives you a freebie teapot template.  Thank you for the inspiration and freebie Anja.

As you can see I have made a new home card, and I don't know about you but whenever I moved home, the first thing I wanted was a cup of tea so I thought this would be ideal.  I started my card by printing the cardstock on both sides with this gorgeous digi paper.  I then printed the template on one side, cut it out and inked around the edges.  I then added my image which I had coloured with promarkers to match the paper.  Next I stamped and heat embossed a die cut tag with a little sentiment and added it to the top.  Next I stamped some cupcakes, also coloured with promarkers, and 3D'd two of them before attaching with foam pads.  The leaves are die cut whilst the flowers are punched and have pearls in the centres.  I also added some tiny punched flowers to the tag and added gems to the centres of these.  On the inside I have put a teabag in aan envelope as a little gift.  Finally I tied some ribbon to the teapot handle.  Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

It seems ages since I made a Tilda card so that is what I have done today.  I followed the great sketch to layer up my card.  Across the middle I have placed some ribbon topped with braided twine.  I coloured my image with promarkers and added faux stitching around the edge.  The butterflies have been coloured with sakura stardust pens and I have added glitter to Tilda's dress.  There is also a touch of glitter on the sentiment.  The flowers and leaves have been punched and I have added roses to the centres.  A few heart gems and a couple of pearl pins finishes the card.  Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

Thought you might like to see a wedding card I made recently.   The background is made up of three punched and embossed panels and a satin ribbon and bow tied around the top.  I stamped the sentiment (I just love this sentiment for wedding cards) and cut it out with a nestie before attaching it with foam pads.  I then added two punched hearts and two pearl hearts and then some flowers to the side.  Next I placed a punched butterfly onto the base card and added gems to the body.  The last embellishments are two more pearl hearts.  I also added glitter glue to the butterfly, punched hearts and the roses.  Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

Here is another card I have made using one of the fabulous Whoopsi Daisy images from the new 'Daisy & Friends At Christmas' CD.  This time I have made a wobble card and made it suitable for either Christmas or birthday.

I started off by colouring my image with promarkers to compliment the gorgeous paper.  I then stippled ink on the background and added flock to her fur bits.  Having layered it I added some pearls.  To make the card I used a teaplate for the base card and a saucer for the paper as templates.  Once I had cut these out I glued a doily to the base card and then the paper.  Once dry I folded the card in half.  I then attached my image and sentiment to it.  To finish off I added some die cut holly swirls and some silver poinsettias which I added star gems to the centres and sentiment.  Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

Today I have made another card using one of the fabulous Whoopsi Daisy images from the new 'Daisy & Friends At Christmas' CD.  There are so many gorgeous images on it I had trouble deciding which one to use.

Following the great sketch I have covered the base card with gingham paper and then added some of the new floral paper.  I then punched a border and added some faux stitching down the sides before adding some cotton lace which I threaded with ribbon.  Next I added some sticky ribbon across the bottom and attached some pearls to it.  I coloured the image with promarkers and attached it with foam pads.  Next I added some punched flowers and leaves and placed paper roses in the centre of each flower.  A punched butterfly and simple sentiment finishes the card.  Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

It's Thursday which means it time for a new challenge at Lilie's Little Fairies and this week the theme is 'Spots Or Stripes', nice and easy.

I started my card by following the great sketch and covering my base card with stripey paper (you can just about see it).  I then added a layer of cardstock.  The top layer has been embossed with music and I also heat embossed it with glitter EP.  Next I added some metal corners but they were too bright so I coloured them with a promarker pen and wiped them dry.  The result was just what I was looking for.  I coloured my image with promarkers and added some glitter.  I then doodled some words to the song around the edges before attaching it with foam pads.  Next I added some punched flowers and leaves and added glitter and gems to the flowers.  Finally a stamped sentiment finishes the card off nicely.  Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

Daisy & Friends At Christmas CD

Challenges

Bearly Mine (48) - Wings
Fab 'N' Funky (134) - Angels/Fairies
Charisma Cardz (32) - Monochrome
Catch The Bug - Bingo (Flower/Ribbon/Sentiment)
Stamptacular (177) - For The Girls

Here is a card I have made with one of the very talented Lynn Carter's (Linnie to you and me) images available from Whoopsi Daisy that are made to compliment the Daisy & Friends At Christmas CD that was launched earlier today on Create & Craft by the lovely Joanna Sheen.  The CD is now in stock in Joanna's shop so rush on over there to get your copy.  All the images come in both digital and pre-coloured (handy when you are in a hurry), and many are suitable for everyday occassions too.  Lots of other things are on the CD too, including papers, stationary etc.  If you liked the first one, then you will love this one.

OK, back to my card.  As the gorgeous image I have used are made to compliment the 'window' cards on the CD, I have made an aperture card.  I started by cutting the aperture using a nestie die and then embossed the front with swiss dots.  I then punched two borders, topped them with glittery ribbon and attached to either side with foam pads.  Next I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment and inked around the edge.  The holly and poinsettias have been die cut, inked and gems attached.  On the inside I attached the pre-coloured image, edged it with peel-offs and added glitter to her wings and some of the background.  To finish I stamped and embossed a couple of sentiments.

Make sure you check out my Whoopsi Daisy teamies blogs as they will be showing more creations using the the new scenic sheets.  Thanks for looking.

Time for another challenge at Lili's Little Fairies and this week the theme is 'Oh So Girlie'.  If you are like me you love making girlie cards so this will be nice and easy for you.

For my card I have used one of my favourite little fairys called 'Dandelion Clock'.  When I was a child and enjoying my summer holidays from school, not only did I love making daisy chains, but I also loved playing the dandelion clock game.  Do you remember doing that?

Anyway, enough waffling and onto my card.  I followed the great sketch using several of these gorgeous digi papers.  Once I attached the papers I then added some spotty ribbon.  I coloured the image with promarkers adding flock to the dandelion clocks.  I distressed the edges and added glitter to them along with the fairy's wings and petticoat.  The front was finished with a sentiment and some daisy flowers.  The base of the card was layered with card and paper and another spotty ribbon.  A sentiment finishes the base.  Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

And now for something different.....

This is an idea I was playing around with the other day.  I wanted to make something to hang on my craft room wall.  As part of the theme in the room is hearts it stood to reason that it had to be heart shaped so I got the nesties out and cut one of each size in plain dies and the same in scalloped dies.  I dry embossed all the plain ones with an embossing folder before sticking them to the scalloped hearts.  I then built up the layers attaching each set with foam pads.  I then cut another of the largest size scalloped heart and attached it to the back to sandwich the ribbon in place.  Finally I decorated the front with a few paper flowers.  Not only does this make a nice wall decoration but I think it could also be given to a bride to carry on her wedding day, what do you think?  Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

Here is a card I made a long time ago but didn't show, I wonder why, lol.  The 'sea' paper is a photo I found on the internet and just printed onto copy paper.  I used a very old template to cut the swimsuits out which I simply decorated with peel-offs.  The words are also peel-offs.  I think this might pass as 'clean & simple', it's certainly simple...  Thanks for looking.
