Get Well Soon

Challenges

Less Is More (21) - Sketch
One Stop Craft (137) - Get Well soon
A Spoonful Of Sugar (158) - Get Well Soon
Simon Says - Lemon/Lavender

I will be the first to admit that I am definately NOT a minimalist but I have had a go with this get well card (get well verse inside). I hope it can be classed as 'clean & simple' as I do struggle to get it right... Anyway I have used a white 5" x 7" base card and added a punched strip of lemon cardstock. I then stamped the sentiment directly onto the base card. Next I found a scrap of lavender patterned paper in my rather large scrapbox and stamped the flowers onto it. Once I cut the flowers out I simply attached them with foam pads. I even resisted adding glitter to the flowers, had to tie my hands behind my back though ha! ha! Hope you like this deviation from the norm, thanks for looking.

Lili Of The Valley DT (103) - Celebrations

Challenges

Lili Of The Valley DT (103) - Celebrations
Our Creative Corner - Own Style (Cute/Pastels/Handmade Flowers)
Digi Doodle Shop (65) - Anything Goes

This week's challenge for you at the Lili Of The Valley Challenge Blog is 'Celebrations'. This weeks sponsors are Lisa and Laila at LOTV who are kindly donating a £10.00 voucher for one lucky winner. Do remember though, to be eligable for the prize you MUST use an LOTV product on your creation.

I have used one of the new Summer Girls stamps for my card this week and she is called 'Maisie - Big Balloons' and is ideal for all sorts of celebration cards. As usual she is coloured with promarkers and I have add Diamond Glaze to her balloons and shoes. I have also added the word 'celebrate' to the image. I have made the background paper myself by stamping and colouring balloons all over. I then punched the corners (I think this was a mistake, but too late now). Next I added double punched borders across the middle. The flowers have been stamped, glittered and layered and I have added gems to the centres. I like the soft look to this card, hope you do too. Thanks for looking.

Whoopsi Daisy Challenge (GDT) - Christmas In June

Challenges

Whoopsi Daisy - Christmas In June

This week at Whoopsi Daisy we are going all Christmassy as our challenge theme is 'Christmas In June'. So, put on that Christmas music CD, settle down with some hot chocolate and get ahead with your Christmas projects, can't wait to see what you come up with. Check out the rest of the DT's blogs for more inspiration.

I decided to make a card, no suprise there then... I have coloured my sweet girl with Promarkers and added lots of glitter glue. Having layered her with nesties I thought it would be fun to weave some ribbon around the image, letting it curl as I went. I think it gives quite a nice effect. Hope you like this one as much as I do, thanks for looking.

I needed to do a card for a colleague who was turning fifty and this is what I came up with. I love this little chap and he was so easy to colour with promarkers. The numbers have been die cut and the stars punched. As the card was for a man I have kept it clean and simple, hope you like it, thanks for looking.

The DT were lucky enough to be given some images to play with and today I have done an easel card using 'Ballerina Katie', ideal for any little princess. I have coloured the image with promarkers and glitter, then decoupaged it before layering with nesties. The edges of the white layer has been distressed and glittered too. A sentiment, sparkly ribbon and bow and a princess crown charm finish the main side. For the sentiment side I have used a label nestie to cut the layers which I have stamped and added flowers to. I started my card by covering the base card with paper and stamping faux stitching around the edge. Then I placed a rectangular panel across the bottom. I stamped the image in brown and coloured it with my pencils. Having cut it out with a nesties label die I tied some spotty organza ribbon around it before attaching to the card with foam pads. Next I punched some leaves from cream card and added some layered flowers with pearl brad centres. The sentiment in the corner was then stamped directly onto the paper. Finally I punched some butterflies, layered them and added gems for bodies. Hope you like this one, thanks for looking.

This week we are being sponsored by Lisa and Laila at Lili Of The Valley who are kindly donating a £10.00 voucher for their shop. Don't forget that the new girlie stamps are now available here.

My card this week has been inspired by one of my favourite childhood songs 'Teddy Bear's Picnic' and I have used the stamp called 'Teddy Bear's Picnic', suprise, suprise. I have coloured the image with promarkers and added a little sentiment and some craft candy. I have added a little border of music, some faux (stamped) stitching and some paper lace which I also coloured with promarkers. Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

Time for another challenge from Crafty Creations and this week we have the theme 'Just Imagine'. We are kindly being sponsored by Patties Creations and one lucky winner can win three of her gorgeous digi images.

The DT were lucky enough to be given some images to play with and I have used one called 'Beach Pattiboop Sunglasses'. When I saw this it reminded me of the Bette Midler film 'Beaches', one of my favourites. I followed the great sketch to create my card. I have coloured the image with promarkers and added diamond glaze to the starfish, fish and sunglasses. I made the starfish embellishments by first punching the shapes from cardstock for the base. Next I coloured some shrink plastic with promarkers and punched more star shapes. I then added some smiley faces before shrinking and placing on top of the card ones. Hope you like this one, thanks for looking.

Wow! It's Monday already! Where does the time go? I seem to be back chasing my tail again. Anyway, as it is Monday that means it's time for another challenge from Whoopsie Daisy. This week we have made it easy for you by picking the theme 'Free & Easy', so make whatever you like and have fun. The DT have made some fantastic cards so pop on over to their blogs and have a look.

For my card this week I have chosen to follow the great sketch (I love the look of these panelled layouts) and used the base colours pink & brown. The sweet image has been coloured with promarkers and this time I resisted covering her wings with glitter. The lace on the punched border was a scrap that fell out of my lace box so thought I would use it up. I punched and coloured some leaves and added some paper flowers (also coloured) around the image adding pearls to the centres. Lastly, I added a circular sentiment and stuck three pearl pins into the foam pad at the back (health & safety). These are ordinary dressmaking pins I found lying around in my sewing box so didn't want the sharp points showing. That's it, hope you like it, thanks for looking.

Challenges

Lili Of The Valley DT (101) - Anything Goes
Sketch & Stash (63) - Sketch (New Stamp)

It's Thursday already which means it is time for another challenge from Lili Of The Valley. This week we are making it easy for you with the theme 'Anything Goes'. We are being sponsored this week by Lisa and Laila at LOTV and also The Ribbon Girl.

Todays card is featuring another of the new 'Summer Girls' stamps that will be released by LOTV on Tuesday 14th June. This little cutie is called 'Milly - Just For You' and is so useful for many occassions so is very versatile.

What a great sketch to follow, one I am sure I will use many times. This card is quite dimensional as I have 3D'd a lot of it including some of the layers. The image has been coloured with promarkers and I have 3D'd and glittered the butterfly and daisy. The larger daisies have been punched, coloured and glittered. A circular sentiment and a few gems added to the flower centres finishes the card off nicely. Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

We have a great prize for one lucky winner as we are being sponsored this week by Whimsy Stamps who are kindly donating 5 digi stamps of choice.

As you can see I have used a red base card which has been layered on top with a white card and rainbow striped paper, nice and bright. Across the middle I have layered a couple of punched borders and tied some rainbow organza ribbon around them. The image has been coloured with promarkers and layered with nesties. The circular sentiment has also been layered. A few red star brads finishes the card. Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

Here is another of the gorgeous new 'Summer Girls' stamps that are being released by Lili Of The Valley on Tuesday 14th June. This one is called 'Summer Days' and as you can see the two little girls are also busy making daisychains. Make sure you check out all the Design Teams Blogs and the Ideas To Inspire Blog for more sneak peeks throughout the week.

I layered my base card with various panels/punched borders following the great sketch. I have added some gorgeous satin ribbon to the punched borders too. The image has been coloured with promarkers, layered and attached with foam pads. I have had these little daisies for a couple of years and recently came across them. Before attaching them I added a bit of colour with a promarker. A circular sentiment completes the card. I have kept the embellishments to a minimum as the layout was busy enough. Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

WOW! It just gets better and better at Lili Of The Valley! Just when you think they have brought you the cutest stamps ever, out comes even cuter ones..... When I saw the new Summer Girls range I instantly fell in love with them and I am sure you will too. They are to be released on Tuesday 14th June so you don't have too long to wait. Meanwhile check out the Design Teams Blogs and the Ideas To Inspire Blog for Sneaky Peeks all this week.

OK, on to my card. I could not believe it when I saw this little beauty as she is called Daisy Chain!!! Naturally I fell instantly in love with her and had to colour her up straight away. She reminds me so much of my favourite childhood summer activity, hence the name of my blog. I have coloured her with promarkers and chalk and paper pieced her dress and bow. For the layout I followed the great sketch by covering the base card with paper and adding punched borders top and bottom. The image has been placed on a green panel and attached with foam pads. There was only one thing to do with the image next and that was to add a 'daisychain' around it. A circular sentiment and a few more gems finish the card off. Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

Creative Inspirations DT (61) - Father's Day/Dad

Creative Inspirations DT (61) - Father's Day/Dad
Pollycrafts (95) - Be My Teddy Bear
Simon Says - For A Father's Day/Male
One Stop Craft (134) - Texture (Ribbon/Buttons)

We have a great challenge for you this time at Creative Inspirations. As Father's Day is only a couple of weeks away here in the UK we would like you to make a 'Father's Day' or 'Dad' card/project. We know some of you have difficulty making male cards but that's why it's called a challenge, right? For this challenge we are kindly being sponsored by Sentiments 4 You and Simon Says Stamps who are generously donating a great prize to one lucky winner.

For my card I have used one of the new LOTV stamps from the 'It's A Boy Thing' range and this one is called 'Dad Is The Word'. I have coloured it with promarkers and layered it with nesties. The base card has been layered with Kraft card and striped paper. I have punched a border down the side and added white seam binding to it. I then took some narrower seam binding and inked it with a distress inkpad and spritzed it with water. Once dry I tied it around the card. To finish off I sewed two buttons together with some embroidery thread. I rather like this one, hope you do too. Thanks for looking.

Mami Doodles (27) - Let's Party
Stamp Something - Something Sentimental
A Gem Of A Challenge (22) - Sketch
Cute Card Thursday (167) - Embellish It (Flowers & Pearls)

This week's challenge for you at the Lili Of The Valley Challenge Blog is 'Punch It'. This weeks sponsors are Lisa and Laila at LOTV who are kindly donating a £10.00 voucher for one lucky winner. Do remember though, to be eligable for the prize you MUST use an LOTV product on your creation.

When I looked at the great sketch I thought it would lend itself nicely to a fold-back card so that is what I have done. Doesn't this gorgeous little girl look as if she is really enjoying her tea party? I have coloured her with promarkers and triple layered her with a nesties label die. I have also added punched flowers and pearls, even on her hat! Having attached punched borders to the fold-back front I attached the image with foam pads. The inside has been covered with embossed, glittered paper before adding a sentiment cut with the label die, you can just see the edge of it. Then I added a little piece of the punched border to the corner and added a bow. The circular sentiment has been stamped and cut with a lacey circle nestie.
Hope you like it, thanks for looking.
