Flower Stem

Challenges

The Pink Elephant (20) - Sketch

Stamp Something - Black/White/Other

Not much to say about this one except, when I was laying it up, I felt there was too much white card showing, so I drew some black lines on it to break it up a bit. The image has had red glitter glue added to it.

Penny Black (54) - Embossing

Daring Cardmakers - Miss You

What a lovely sketch and themes this week on these challenges. I had great fun creating this card as I have used metallic card/paper and done heat embossing, both of which I have not done or used for quite a while. The image was stamped using a friend's new stamp , thanks Alexis. I used a Versamark pen to heat emboss the flowers with different tinsel EPs. The hologram dots are peel-offs.

The Sugar Bowl Challenge (13)

This week's challenge is a great sketch and the colours brown and cream, and although I have altered the sketch a bit I hope this card is acceptable for entry. The parts I have altered are the small squares, replacing one with a flower and the other with a corner bookmark. I have coloured the image with Promarkers, MLP pens and chalks. The flowers/leaves are punched.

Yet another bright card! Not like me at all. Not too sure about the 'orange', think I should have picked one of the other colours. Anyway, I think it looks nice and 'Summery'. I think the flowers should be a bit more 'on the curve' but I did make this card at 4.30am this morning so I think I can be forgiven for a few mistakes. After a long day at work I have managed to have a little nap so hopefully the next card will be a bit better???

Penny Black (53) - Celebrations

Allsorts (5) - Triangles

Simon Says (8) - Let's Celebrate

Here's another bright, colourful card. I don't do many brightly coloured ones but enjoyed doing this one. I cut a piece of purple card to cover the base card and covered part of it with the paper. I then cut a strip of yellow, punched ribbons into it and put it across the join. Then I cut two triangles and placed these on the bottom corners. The image is made up of Stickaroos and attached with foam pads. Altogether, a quick and easy card to make.

Challenges

Lili of the Valley (30) - Paper Piecing

Creative Card Crew (15) - Black plus Other

This is another of Jak heath's gorgeous shoes. This time I have printed it twice, once onto white paper and once onto red paper, and then pieced the two together. I also printed the backing paper onto red paper but it looked too overpowering and dark so kept to the black and white. The decoration on the front of the shoe is a button with a gem in the centre. I coloured the flower to match with MLP pens and added a gem. I finished off with a ribbon and added another gem to the bow.

I started by turning the sketch so I could fit the image in and as Sizzling Hot Summer colours were called for I coloured the image accordingly. Isn't she cute playing with her kittens? I layered her using my Nesties and embossed the yellow card with the Cuttlebug. I punched the flowers and added them to the card to finish it off.

This week's challenge is a sketch and the colour combo of black & white.

Summer Fun!

Challenges

Lili of the Valley (29) - Summer Fun
Creative Card Crew (13) - Child's Play
Crafty Creations (18) - Sand & Sea

Our challenge this week at Lili of the Valley is 'Summer Fun!'. Just right as we have been having some lovely hot, sunny days lately, let's hope it keeps up. Even though I am suffering with very bad hayfever at the moment I would still rather have this weather than all the cold wind and rain. Anyway, as this card also fits a couple of other challenges I thought I would enter it for them as well.

The main image on my offset gatefold card is decoupaged and placed onto a piece of design paper as a background and then layered using my Nesties. I have also used a 'sand' design paper on the rest of the card (details below). The embellishments are punched or cut and layered onto red card to match the main image.

Daisy & Dandelion (12) - Sketch
C.R.A.F.T. (2) - Moving Components
Creative Inspirations (10) - Brown & Blue

I followed Hazel's lovely sketch to make this card. I have used one of the D & D stickers as the main image and layered it using Nesties. I then stitched (real) around the edges and added some coloured peel-off brads. I finished the image by making a card 'spring' out of card and attaching it by the 'spring' to the card. (Sorry about the fuzzy photo). It now wobbles! Having put a strip down the side of the card and stamping a balloon onto it, I finished it with faux stitching. Finally, I added a D & D sticker sentiment.
