Meow!

Challenges

Friday Sketchers (49) - Sketch

Colour Create (13) - Orange/Green/Brown

Charisma Cardz (17) - Thank You

Rainbow Lady (58) - Four Legged Friends

Here's another one using this lovely soft orange coloured card. I think this kitty is so cute. Another stamp belonging to my friend Sue, forgot to look who made it, sorry. All I did was to stamp it in brown, colour the eyes green and add diamond glaze to highlight them and add a ribbon bow. I also sponged the edges with ink and added punched flowers and brads. Having stamped a sentiment at the top I just added some fibres and foam letters.

Pocket Silhouette

Challenges

Pink Elephant (12) - Sketch

Cupcake Craft (57) - 5 Different Embellishments

Papertake - Spots & Stripes

Stamp With Us (4) - Recipe (2 patterned papers/1 ribbon/4 brads)

I tried to upload this card yesterday but Mr Blogger had other ideas and was having a hissy fit. Hopefully it will work this time...

I have just got the Stampin Up 'Pocket Sillhouettes' stamps so had a little play with them. I like the simplicity of these little stamps. I stamped the image using my MLP pens and the curvy sentiment with a versacolor ink pad to match. The flowers and butterfly are punched out of paper and card. By adding the gems to the butterfly I actually ended up with 6 different embellishments not 5. I hope this is still acceptable for the challenge at Cupcake Craft, if not, never mind I had fun.

Purple Rose

Challenges
Sunday Sketch & Stamp (1) - Sketch
Stamp Something - Something with showers or flowers
Cute Daisy May (9) - Gems
It's a long time since I have used this gorgeous rose stamp so I thought it could do with an airing. I have stamped the image using a Versacolor inkpad called Wild Berries which has five shades of the same colour to it. I punched the flowers and leaves and added gems to the centres. The little gems are in fact hair decorations that my good friend Michael found and sent me. Thank you very much Michael. Down the side, and the bow, is white satin ribbon which I recoloured using peel-off pens.

Colour Create Challenge (12)

The challenge this week is to use the colours black, white and pink. The optional extra is polka dots. I think this card satisfies all the criterias.

Originally I was going to do something totally different involving shocking pink, but my dear friend Sue suprised me the other day by not only giving me this gorgeous stamp but also the fabulous 'Daisy' for my birthday (which is a month away). As you can see I couldn't wait to play with them. Thank you so much Sue, they are just what I wanted.

The image is coloured with my pencils and the flowers are made using various punches.

Lili Of The Valley (26) DT Card

This week's challenge is a sketch by our very own Jo. The main image is done using the new LOTV Starburst Decoupage - Regal Gems. These designs are great to use and really easy. Having built up the starburst with foam pads I layered it onto two squares of card. The blue strips are embossed with a diamond design using an embossing board. The flowers are punched and the greeting is a sticker that was just the right colour. I finished off by adding irridescant gems.

Boys Toys

This week's challenge at Daring Cardmakers is 'Games & Toys For Boys'. As boys seem to be quite technical I made this card using simple peel-offs on black card and mounted on 'circuit' backing paper. Sorry, I can't remember where I found the paper on the internet.

Thanks for looking.

Just Plane Fun

Rainbow Lady's challenge this week is 'transport' so here is an aeroplane card that I made for a friend's boyfriend. The aeroplane is decoupaged and the sentiment is computer generated.

Daisy Chain

Challenges

Simon Says (2) - Recycle

Cute Card (56) - Floral Fantasy

Dutch Dare (44) - Favourite Things

Paperplay (13) - Times 4 It

Pink Elephant (11) - Recycle

Stamp Something - Yellow/Green/Blue

Wow! I can't believe I managed to get six challenges out of this simple little card.

First I thought about the recycling bit as I had just been given some old card fronts and in the pile was one with a daisychain on it (recycling x 2). It only seemed natural to put 'Daisy' with it, so I 'dressed' her in blue which gave me the three colours needed. Next, is rather obvious, 'Daisy' stamp, daisies and daisychain being my 'favourite things' and they are flowers so that includes 'floral fantasy'. Finally, there are four daisies added to the corners and here is the clever part.... If you count the daisies in the daisychain they are divided by four!!!

Cute Daisy May (8) - All That Glitters

Charisma Cardz (15) - Little Black Dress

Crafty Creations (11) - Sparkle

I have had this stamped image (thanks Sue) for a couple of weeks and couldn't quite think what to do with it until now. All I have done with the actual image is to colour the necklace with a Sakura stardust pen and add a few gems. The white flowers have also had the edges coloured with a stardust pen as they were a bit too white.

Did you see them???

Did you see these on Ideal World today? This is one of the reasons I have been fairly quiet recently (excuse rubbish photos). Apart from being ill I was busy making these samples for Lili Of The Valley for their show on Ideal World today at 11am. The show launched their new Starburst Decoupage which are absolutely fabulous. They are really easy to work with and the designs are stunning. I was so excited that my cards would be on the TELLY!!! Unfortunately, I haven't a clue if any were actually shown as I had to go to work and cannot record the shows so missed seeing it, oh well, that's life!

Daisy

Challenges

Daisy & Dandelion Craft (1) - Sketch

As you can see I have kept this card very simple so that the stamping stands out. Apart from the main image being lightly coloured with a pencil, the rest of the stamping has been left plain.

Going Potty

Challenges

Sketch & Stash (8) - Sketch (New Punches)

Papertake - Perfect Pastels

A Spoonful Of Sugar (47) - To Die For

Crafty Muse - Thank You

The Pink Elephant - Pink/Green/Yellow

As you can see, this is a good way of using up all your little scraps. I had great fun playing around with this one. I had gone shopping this morning to get a couple of MLP pens but came back with a couple of punches instead as they didn't have the pens... Now, own up, how many of you have gone out for something specific and came back with something totally different?

Creative Card Crew Challenge (6)

The challenge this week is 'Monochrome Madness'. I can't remember the name of the technique I used with this image but perhaps someone will recognise it and let me know. I stamped the image three times onto white card with versamark and heat embossed it. I then inked it all over with a black inkpad before placing plain paper on top and heating it with an iron until all the embossing came off, thus leaving the white image. I then simply layered it up with plain card and inked, embossed card. I also added a white & silver ribbon and a white butterfly brad which I heat embossed with holographic embossing powder. To finish off I stamped a design along the edges and a sentiment.

AWOL...

Oh dear, I've been a bad blogger this week. I'm sure you will all forgive me when I tell you I have been suffering all week with a viral infection. But, GOOD NEWS, it's now gone so I can get back to normal. Hopefully, I shall get the time to make something tomorrow. I will also try to visit all your blogs as well. Thank you for the comments you all leave, it is very much appreciated.

Lady Racer!!!

This week's challenge at Lili Of The Valley is 'Fun' and I really think this is a fun image.

The image is decoupaged onto mats cut with my nesties and then placed on the front of an 'M' fold card. I covered the back with design paper and attached a computer generated sentiment. I finished off by adding punched flowers and a 'speed limit' sign.

I am going to enter this one for the following challenges as well as it fits the criteria.

A Spoonful Of Sugar (46) - How Old?

Funky Fairys Challenge (10)

The challenge at Funky Fairys is to make a 'green' card and although this card looks blue I can assure you it is in fact green. As it is an aqua green the scanner has turned it blue. I punched the flowers using my daisy punches and recycled a greeting from an old card as it was just the right colour. The Gorjuss Girl image was coloured with MLP pens and layered using nesties.

ABC Challenge (H is for Hearts)

A nice quickie this time. Using embossed card for the base I cut a red triangular piece of card and placed this on top, adding a peel-off in the corner. The centre is a piece of white card with a heart punched out. This has then been layered onto red card and then black card behind that. The teddy image was recycled from an old card.

Thanks for looking.

Cute Card Challenge (54)

This week's challenge is to use 'Citrus' colours so thinking of oranges, lemons & limes I came up with this. This is one of my favourite stamps which I have coloured with chalks. Underneath the image I 'shadow' stamped two squares with versamark. In the corners and around the edges I used peel-offs that I coloured with marker pens.

Magnolia vs Stampavie Challenge (20)

This week we had a colour combo challenge which was 'Red, Black and White' with optional 'Grey'. I love this colour combo and was eager to do something. I was going to make a card but I decided to make this little gift box instead. The box has a side opening with a sleeve band around it. I think maybe the punched tag is a wee bit to big for the box but hey! let's call it artistic licence. Please excuse the pictures, I scanned them because I was too lazy to get the camera out!!!
The card I used was printed on the computer with one of Jak Heath's free downloads (see sidebar for link) and I used one of her 'Build A Blossom' flowers again, I do so love these! I stamped the tag with Sarah Kay's 'Picnic Of Daisies' stamps and coloured it with MLP pens. As you can see I managed to incorporate the optional grey colour.

Tote Bag & Nine Cards (Forever Friends Challenge)

The Complete Set
The Tote Bag

1 - 3

4 - 6

7 - 9

The challenge on Forever Friends this week is to 'make a gift for someone' so I am entering this set of cards. I made this little set about three weeks ago for a very special young lady in Malaysia who I have been told, was thrilled to receive them. I found the idea on a Stampin Up demonstrator's blog, her name is Rochelle and you can find the bag etc here, thank you Rochelle. The bag was very easy to make, as was the cards. I have tried to make the cards suitable for various occassions.
