Something A Bit Different

I do like to recycle and upcycle things when I can and on this occasion I have recycled some old fabric poinsettias from a Christmas decoration.

Having separated all the layers of the flowers I coloured them with my promarkers before re-assembling them again.  I added a hairclip to the back of each flower so that I could easily change them on the hat if required.  Two of them have silver coloured filigrees on them whilst the one I needed has a very old large crystal button, nice and sparkly.

I now had a hat that coordinated with the colour theme of the wedding.

  1. What a great way to recycle those old poinsettia flowers, Christine! I think all crafters love to upcycle...the only problem is, it tends to mean that we hoard everything in sight!?!
Thanks for playing along with us at Passion for Promarkers this week! Lisa x
