I have made a get well card for a work colleague this week. I only had a short time in which to make it which is why it is 'clean and simple'. The image is coloured with promarkers and sakura stardust pens. Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

Following the great sketch I made some panels using these gorgeous digi papers from Nitwit Collections and attached them to my base card. Before attaching I added some ribbon to the smaller panel and tied a simple knot. Onto a die-cut rectangle of pink card I added my cut out image which I coloured with promarkers. I highlighted her shoes and bag with diamond glaze. The sentiment is simply stamped and layered. To finish I added some card candi. Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

Today we have another great challenge for you at Whoopsi Daisy because we want to see you 'Bling It'. Don't forget though that you MUST use a Whoopsi Daisy image which isn't difficult as Linnie gives you a fabulous freebie each week.

This week I have made a fold-back card using this very elegant lady. I have coloured her with promarkers and distressed with chalk. I have given her a diamond necklace and earrings using tiny gems and used the leftovers from the peel-off corners to add interest. The gorgeous digi paper is a freebie from Jak Heath and you can find it here. It compliments the card so well. I have added holographic peel-off borders and corners around the paper. The leaves with the flowers were originally green but I coloured them with the same pen I used for the dress. To finish the card I added some stickles to some of the flowers for a vintage look. We have a new challenge at Lili's Little Fairies and this week is one of my favourite themes 'Lavender & Lace'.

I have used a stamp that I have not used since it came out, shame on me as I love it. I have coloured her with promarkers adding glitter to her wings and surrounded her with little gem stars. I then found some long forgotted silver edged lace and put this around the image. The lacy borders were cut with a punch and I added some more forgotten lace. A little stamped sentiment and a few star brads finishes the card nicely. Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

This week on the Whoopsi Daisy challenge we want to see 'Anything But Square' creations. Don't forget you MUST use a Whoopsi Daisy image and Linnie kindly provides you with a free one here that you can use.

As you can see I have made a step wedding card in white and silver mirri card. I have coloured the image with promarkers and added a touch of glitter. The white panel behind the image has been embossed with hearts and I have tucked a couple of punched hearts behind the image. I have added some recycled ribbon to the bottom panel and tied a bow. To finish the card I punched and embossed some silver flowers and placed some roses in the middle. I must have had these for about four years now so thought it was about time I used them. Finally I added some stickles to the roses for a bit more sparkle. Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

Over at Lili's Little Fairies challenge today we want you to use your 'Favourite LOTV Stamp' on your creations. I expect you are like me and have several favourites which makes it quite difficult to pick just one. I decided to use my most recent favourite 'Lovely Lillies' which I coloured with promarkers. The background has been embossed with a swiss dots folder and I heat embossed it using holographic EP for a bit of sparkle. Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

It's Monday so time for another challenge at Whoopsi Daisy. This week we would like to see you use the colours PINK & GREEN on your creations. Do remember however, that you now have to use a Whoopsi Daisy image to enter. So many people are not reading the guidelines and are still entering with other images. It is so sad that we have to discount these gorgeous entries but we do have to be fair to those that follow the rules. So, onto my card. Today I have used this gorgeous little toddler and coloured her with promarkers and chalk. Today sees the first challenge at Lili's Little Fairies and we hope you will all join in with this week's challenge which is 'New Beginnings'.

Following the great sketch I have used various embossed panels and added a small bit of red lace to one of them. I have coloured the image with promarkers and glitter and added a few heart gems before cutting and layering with a nestie. I have arranged the roses with punched leaves and curled stems and added stickles to the flowers. Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

After being on the DT for the Lili Of The Valley challenge blog for so long I was very saddened to receive the news that they were closing the challenge blog. Great news though! Jacqui has come to the rescue for all the LOTV stamp fans and is starting a new Lili Of The Valley only challenge blog starting on THURSDAY 5TH JANUARY. A little Tilda thank you card this time. Again in red with cream but this time teamed with gold. What a difference one colour makes! The image has been coloured with promarkers as usual. Today I fancied a change from making a 'cute' card so this is what I came up with. Not sure if I should have left the ribbons off though. Having done lots of layered panels I stamped some foliage onto the top one. I then stamped the flowers onto some patterned paper and cut them out. I added them to the foliage using foam pads before adding some buttons. A bit of ribbon and some peel-off corners finishes the card. Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

Here is another baby card that I have made using quite neutral colours so that it could be for a boy or a girl this time. I have covered my base card with silver mirri card topped with this gorgeous digi paper from Nitwit Collections. I coloured the image with promarkers and cut and layered it with nesties adding a silver/white panel underneath. The sentiment has simply been stamped and layered. Happy New Year everyone and welcome back to the Whoopsi Daisy challenge. After all the stress of the last few weeks we have an uncomplicated challenge to ease you all back to crafting gently. As you can see I have not made a card this time. I have made an easel desk calendar for the new year instead. I have coloured my image with promarkers and a Sakura Stardust pen. This gorgeous digi paper is from the 'Heavenly' Collection at Nitwit Collections. I stamped a little snowflake border on the post-It Notes before attaching to the base. My Favourite 5 Cards of 2011

Over at the lovely Debby's blog it is time to choose our favourite five cards for 2011 so why not join in and show us yours.

I must admit I found it very difficult to just pick five as I loved rather a lot of them this year.

This first one suprised me as I was never very happy about distressing my cards, always preferring what I call clean cut cards. I was also suprised how much I liked the rather dark colours of it and what a great image to play with too.

I picked this one as it was the first 'white on white' card that I was happy with. I've always struggled with these cards but achieving this one has given me the confidence to do more.

I had a go with 'shabby chic' for this one and was very pleased with the way it turned out. I just love the softness of the colours and the adorable image suits this style perfectly.

Another of these sweet adorables but this time in my favourite colour, pink! A truly feminine card!

As soon as I saw this LOTV stamp I had to have it. I love how the colouring of her came out especially her hair. I also teamed her with some of my favourite Nitwit papers.

Well, I hope you enjoyed looking at my favourites as much as I enjoyed making them, thanks for looking.

I fancied making a couple of baby cards so I have used some of my favourite things to make them (LOTV stamps/Nitwit Collections Papers/Ribbons). I have followed the same great sketch for both of them. The images have been coloured with promarkers and paper pieced with some of the papers. I have also added flock to the hats. I have also added a 'bobble' to the boy's hat and a flower to the girl's hat. The white panel has been punched and embossed and I have added ribbon to it, the ribbon has little prams on it. A simple stamped sentiment finishes them off. Hope you like them, thanks for looking.

Here's a nice shiny Christmas card for you today. Onto a white base card I added a triangle of lilac digi paper from the 'Still Joyful Hearts' collection at Nitwit Collections. This has been my favourite Christmas paper this year but this time I have added glitter to it. Next I embossed a triangle of pearl vellum paper and added this to the other half of the base card. To cover the join I punched a border in silver mirri card, added some d/s tape and sprinkled glitter on top. The poinsettia has been die-cut from the pearl vellum paper with a punched centre and leaves. A few pink pearls finishes the card. Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

Although I followed the great sketch for this one, I did move the elements of it slightly. I have coloured and edged the image with promarkers and added some gold heart brads to three of the corners. On the other corner I have added punched flowers and leaves. I have coloured the flower centres and added gold beads. Although you can't see it in the photo I have added stickles to the white leaves too. These gorgeous digi papers are from the 'Grin 'n' Bear It' collection at Nitwit Collections. I have added some green brads and gold peel-off corners to the paper panels. I also punched a border and added some satin ribbon before placing across the card. A peel-off sentiment finishes the card off. Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

My Five Favourite Christmas Cards For 2011

The lovely Debby is asking us to show our five favourite Christmas cards that we have made this year. I found it quite difficult to just pick five as I have made so many this year that I have loved, but here goes -

I just love the Whoopsi Daisy image on this one. I made it into a gatefold card with simple embossed panels and loads of sparkle.

Again with this one I just fell in love with the LOTV image the minute I saw it. I have also used some of my favourite digi papers from Nitwit Collections, my kind of colours!

Another cute image from LOTV and I love the icy look of the colours with this one.

I love everything about this one, the shape, the image and the white on white look.

Finally a traditional coloured one. I must admit I prefer the more untraditional colours but I loved how this card turned out. This was the first time I put so many flowers onto a card too. I love how the stickles glue made the roses look quite antique.

Here is a couple more cards that I have made, both featuring cats. (Could be something to do with adopting twin kittens recently, see sidebar).

The first one uses a digi stamp to which I have handwritten the sentiment added to it. I coloured the image with promarkers and sakura stardust pens. The digi papers are from the 'Ho, Ho, Ho' collection at Nitwit Collections. All the embellishments have been paper pieced and I have added a few gems to the stockings.

The second one uses an older LOTV stamp which I have also coloured with promarkers. The digi papers are from the 'Simply Joys' collection at Nitwit Collections. The leaves have been punched while the flowers have been die-cut.

So, onto my card. I followed the great sketch by first covering the base card with this gorgeous paper from the 'Still Joyful Hearts' collection at Nitwit Collections. Next I punched a border and added glittery ribbon followed by a circular sentiment layered with a nestie. I coloured the image with promarkers and added flock. Next I distressed the edge and added glitter before layering with a nestie of glittery card. The snowflakes have been die-cut with hologram card centres. Finally I added a foam snowman which I covered with glitter. Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

Today I have a quick and simple Christmas card to show you. I have used this gorgeous pre-coloured Santa digi and just added diamond glaze to his eyes, bell and berries. I then added stickles to his beard. I have layered the sentiment with a nestie. Finally I stamped the stockings onto matching paper and attached with foam pads. Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

I started this card by matting and layering my base card with some gold pearl cardstock and another of the gorgeous (Simply Joys) digi papers from Nitwit Collections. I am so in love with all these gorgeous papers I find I am always using them. Why not pop on over and see for yourself and fall in love too. Back to my card - next I punched a couple of lace borders, added some more gols card and topped it with some flowers with card candi in the centres. For my image I have combined an image from the sheet below and one that was a freebie some time ago and coloured them with promarkers. Finally a stamped sentiment finishes the card nicely. I think it looks like they might be going off to find Santa, what do you think? Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

I am not very keen on the traditional red and green for Christmas cards and like to experiment with other colours as you might have noticed. I must admit I don't often use black on them but am always pleasantly suprised at how well they turn out, including this one. I made the background by stamping snowflakes onto the card and then inking and distressing the edges. The main image has been coloured with promarkers and chalk. I have also used brown teddy bear flock on the muff rather than white which I thought was a bit stark. The leaves and flowers have been punched and embossed to shape them and I have added gems to the centres. Hope you lik it, thanks for looking.

Over at the Whoopsi Daisy challenge we have a nice and easy challenge for you this week. The theme this week is 'Snowflakes' so we are hoping to see lots of lovely snowy projects. Don't forget, to be eligible for the 'Top Three' you must use a WD image.

Today I have made a side-step card using pearl and silver mirri card as the base. My gorgeous little skater has been coloured with promarkers, chalk and flock. I have then framed her with punched snowflakes and added sparkly gems. I stamped the trees onto white pearl vellum and heat embossed them with Stardust EP before attaching to blue pearl card. I then attached them to the steps at various heights using foam pads. A simple sentiment finishes the card. This card would be ideal as either a Christmas card or a winter birthday card. This week at Lili Of The Valley we would like to see you make a 'Anything But A Christmas Card'. Basically, so long as it's not a Christmas card you can make whatever you want, simples!

I have made a birthday card for a friend using one of the gorgeous new LOTV stamps called 'Lovely Lillies', including the sentiment. The second I saw her I fell in love with her and she is so easy to colour too. I have coloured her with promarkers and added gems. The beautiful papers are from the 'Fairytale Dreams' collection at Nitwit Collections, another favourite. I have double layered the punched strips and added some stripey ribbon. The leaves have been die-cut and I have added paper flowers and gems to them. A couple of punched hearts finish the card. Hope you like it as much as I do, thanks for looking.

It's Monday again and time for another Whoopsi Daisy challenge. This week we would like to see you use 'White On White' for your projects. Again this week the Daisy Divas have made some fantastic projects so do make sure you check out their blogs for inspiration.

STARTING IN JANUARY OUR CHALLENGE WILL BE FOR CRAFTERS USING OUR WHOOPSIDAISY IMAGES ONLY.

Today I have made another 'rocking' card and hopefully designed it a bit better than the first one I did!!!

To make this card I first used a teaplate as a template for the base card. Having cut this circle I did the same using a saucer. Once I had the two pieces I stuck the smaller one to the larger one. I then folded the circles in half to form the base card. (It is much easier if you fold it once the second layer is attached). This time I didn't cut the side steps either, much easier. I then went around the edge of the smaller circle with punched snowflakes and added some pearls. The sweet image has been coloured with promarkers, chalk, flock and glitter. I then cut and layered it using a nestie and sparkly card for the layer at the back. I then attached it to the middle of the card spine. Next I die-cut some poinsettias from glittery handmade paper and added clear gems. I then arranged them with some punched holly leaves. At this stage it was heavier on one side so to counter balance it I added a stamped sentiment edged with more punched snowflakes. Finally I added even more snowflakes to the image, also with clear gem centres. Finished at last so now why don't you have a go at making one for the challenge? Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

This time I have made an easel card using a lot of my favourite things. The colour pink, the image, digi papers, sparkly ribbon, gems and snowflakes. Oh, and not forgetting my promarkers, where would I be without those? Having coloured my image with promarkers I added flock and diamond glaze before layering it using nesties (another favourite). Behind the image I added a lace doily. The border strips have been punched and layered with paper and sparkly ribbons. The snowflakes are die-cut with brads in the centres. A few sparkly gems to finish. Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

Today I have made a little tag card using this gorgeous lantern digi stamp from Whoopsi Daisy. I have followed the great sketch using some of my favourite digi papers from Nitwit Collections and placing them grid style directly onto my base card. I then coloured the image with promarkers and glitter. I then cut around the image and layered it to make a tag before attaching to the card. The poinsettias are die-cut, as is the sentiment. Here is another quick christmas card to add to the pile. This time I have followed the great sketch using this adorable image (one of my favourites this year). I have coloured the image with promarkers and cut and layered it with nesties. The border is simply punched and plain cardstock with glittery silver ribbon on top. This week at Lili Of The Valley we would like to see you make a 'Christmas Card For Someone Special' be it mum, dad, brother, sister, friend or anyone else who is special to you.

I have made a quick and easy card from scraps of card for one of my friends. Starting with a white base card I added a gold layer followed by a music embossed white layer. Next I stamped the music sheet with grey ink and placed on top. I then cut a strip of swirl embossed white card and added some ribbon that I recycled from a gift, inked the edges and placed across the bottom of the card. The image has been coloured with promarkers and glitter. Having cut it out with nesties I then stamped the words onto it before layering with gold card also cut with nesties. A circular sentiment backed with gold card finishes the card. Told you it was quick, thanks for looking.

One of my work colleagues has just become a father for the first time so I have made this card for him using one of the new stamps from LOTV called 'All Our Dreams', which comes complete with the little sentiment. I have followed the great sketch using panels of cardstock covered with papers. The image has been coloured with promarkers and cut out and layered with a nestie label die. I used the same die to cut the sentiment tag and added a red bow. As the baby was born last week I have added some 'poppies'. The three heart buttons at the top finishes the card. Here is a little Christmas easel card I have made following the great sketch and using some of my favourite digi papers from Nitwit Collections. I have coloured the image with promarkers and layered it with nesties. Above the image I have attached a couple of pieces of stitched ribbon to which I have added some flowers. The flowers are punched, embossed and coloured with ink and I have added golden gems to the centres. The leaves are punched too. On the bottom I have cut and punched a strip of card and added some of the paper. The sentiment has been simply stamped and layered and I have added two heart buttons to finish it off. It's Monday again and time for another Whoopsi Daisy challenge. This week we would like to see you use 'The Colours Of Winter' on your projects. Great for all those lovely wintry Christmas cards especially as Christmas is just over five weeks away!!! Aaaargh! Who stole this year???

This week I have made a gatefold easel card for the first time. It didn't take too long to work out what to do but I will be the first to admit that it wouldn't stay shut until I added the ribbon. The main image, from Whoopsi Daisy, is made from two digi stamps and has been coloured with promarkers with flock added to their hats. I have used inks and glitter to distress the background in the hope that it looks like a winter's day. I then added a computer generated caption which I thought was rather apt. The sentiment at the bottom has been stamped and layered. All the leaves have been punched as has the flowers. I coloured the flowers with ink and added pearls to the centres. The snowflake brads have also had pearls added. Some pretty organza ribbon finishes the card. Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

I thought I would try making a different shaped card than I normally do. A friend showed me one of these and I think I would call it a 'step rocker card' for want of a better description. Having cut and folded the base card I then stamped it with dog related stamps. The main image I have used is from the new Lili Of The Valley stamps being released on 10th Nov and is called 'Buckets Of Love' and comes with the sentiment stamp of the same name. I have coloured the image with promarkers and highlighted the water with Diamond Glaze. A circular sentiment added to the step part finishes this simple card. Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

I have made a card in one of my favourite colour combos. I started by covering the base card with gorgeous digi paper from Nitwit Collections called 'Fairytale Dreams'. This week's challenge at Lili Of The Valley is the theme 'Bright & Sparkly' so we want you to get out all your glitter and bling for this one.

I have chosen to use one of my favourite colour combos of blue & lilac for this card so have started with a blue base card. To this I have added a lilac layer of cardstock. I then cut two triangles from this gorgeous digi paper from the 'Promises' kit at Nitwit Collections and attached them leaving a border between the two pieces. I then added some sparkly gems to the corners. I coloured the image (Fishing Buddies) with promarkers and lots of glitter before layering it using nesties and attaching with foam pads. This time I have made a Christmas card for a child as I think they would love all these cute little mice wrapping their presents up. I have coloured the image with promarkers and lots of green glitter. These lovely bright papers are from the new 'Ho Ho Ho' collection at Nitwit collections. I think this set would make an ideal Christmas gift for a special friend.

As you can see I have made an easel card following the great sketch and using lots of layers including a lovely sparkly one under the gorgeous paper from Nitwit Collections. The paper is from the 'Fairytale Dreams Collection'. I have coloured the image with promarkers, chalk and glitter and cut and layered it using a nestie die. I then die-cut and attached a little fence across the bottom. Next I die-cut a climbing plant and added flower gems to it. Next I punched two butterflies, layered them and added another gem. Lastly I added the sentiment.

For the bottom part of the easel I copied the layers from the top part but this time I added another stamped sentiment. I then die-cut some leaves and added more flower gems. Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

Apologies for the lack of posts lately but for some time I have been having problems with one of my shoulders. Well, when the pain became unbearable and movement restricted I finally gave in and took myself off to the doctors. The result is that I have damaged a tendon and have to rest the shoulder as much as possible (very difficult when you still have to go to work), and am on strong pills which are making me sleepy. All in all not a lot of crafting is getting done at the moment.

Enough of that, it's time for another Whoopsi Daisy challenge. This week we have a great sketch for you to follow. The fantastic prize is 2 Digi stamp sheets of choice from Whoopsi Daisy.

Following the great sketch I covered the base card and strips with my gorgeous papers from the 'Promises' kit at Nitwit Collections and attached the strips. Next I coloured the gate image with promarkers and chalk, cut and layered it using nesties and attached with d/s tape. I printed the little girl out three times so that I could decoupage her and coloured her with promarkers too before attaching her with foam pads and adding pearls. The sentiment has been stamped and layered and I have added a couple of punched flowers. Finally I die-cut some leaves and added punched flowers and pearls. Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

Today I want to show you an altered notebook I did for a friend using one of my favourite fairy images. I started by matting and layering several different papers onto the notebook. I then coloured the image with promarkers adding glitter to her wings and dress. Having cut out my image I attached it flat to the notebook. I then die-cut the letters using some cuttlebug dies and attached with glue. Finally I added a few gems. Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

For my card I have chosen the central diagonal line of gems/flowers/ribbon & lace. I first covered my card with one of my favourite papers (Simply Joys) from Nitwit Collections. I then punched a lace border and added ribbon and gems before attaching it to the side of the card. I coloured my image (Little Festive Robins) with promarkers and cut it out with nesties. I layered it with larger mats cut with the same nesties before attaching it with foam pads. To finish this part I added some flowers and punched leaves and card candi to the centre of the flowers. Last but not least I stamped and layered the sentiment, attached again with foam pads and added a couple more gems. Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

This is the card I made for my youngest son who likes gaming on his computer in his spare time. As soon as I saw this image I knew it was the right one for his card. I have coloured the image with promarkers and layered it with nesties. The computer items were from a freebie paper and I just printed it onto cardstock and cut the items out. I thought I would make a simple Halloween easel card using this gorgeous witch image and these lush papers. I matted and layered the base card with cardstock and these gorgeous papers. I went over the spider's webs on the plainer paper with black stickles and also the webs on the image. I coloured my image with promarkers and chalks. I then stamped a spider and some webs. Instead of a sentiment I have added a calender page. Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

I have had this stamp for quite a while now and although I had stamped some images out and even coloured them, this is the first time they have actually made their way onto a card, shame on me. As soon as I bought her I imagined that she was out for a ramble through the countryside so had to be dressed in her 'khaki's'. I coloured her with promarkers as usual. When I placed her on her green mat I thought that there was a bit too much 'white space' to the image and it looked as if she was looking at something. At first I thought of a butterfly and then a bird. Neither seemed quite right and then I remembered this cute little mouse stamp. I also coloured it with promarkers and hopefully made the larger flowers look like Calendula (Marigolds). As this image was too big I cut it in half, placing the mouse on the other image and the flowers at the bottom. A simple sentiment stamped directly onto the card finishes it off. Today I have made a Halloween card. I wanted to see if I could make an everday Tilda look like a Halloween one. I think I managed it, what do you think?

Following the great sketch I started with a black base card. I then cut a square of terracotta but it was a bit too light so I distressed it with distress ink. I then distressed all around the edges with a distressing tool. Next I then distressed some 'batty' paper with the ink and placed on top. Then I added a panel of 'starry' paper. I die cut a circle of gold mesh using a nestie and placed this onto the starry panel to represent the moon??? Now that the base work on the card had been done - the fun part begins...

I coloured Midsummer Tilda with promarkers and cut her out. I then hand drew and coloured a witches hat, cut it out and placed it on her head making sure I covered the flowers in her hair. Next I made her broomstick using a cocktail stick, raffia and sisal. I positioned 'Halloween' Tilda so that she looks as if she is 'surfing' through the night sky on her broomstick. A hand written sentiment finishes it off. I had great fun making this one, hope you like it, thanks for looking.

This week I have made another Christmas card in non-traditional colours again featuring some of my favourite papers called 'Still Joyful Hearts' from Nitwit Collections. I started with a square base card and cut the front diagonally before matting and layering with cardstock and the papers. I then coloured my image with promarkers and glitter, cut it out and layered it with nesties before attaching to the front of the card with foam pads. Next I stamped a sentiment, cut and layered as before and attached to the inside of the card (making sure I lined it up with the front image piece). A few sparkly gems finishes the card. Today I have made an easel card using 'Igloo For Two' which I think is one of the cutest penguin images I have seen for a long time. The snowflakes are die-cut and gems added to the centres. This week I have made a 'fold-back' card where the front is folded back. First I made panels for the front and back using white card covered with this gorgeous paper called 'Still Joyful Hearts' from Nitwit Collections, definately one of my favourites! I then coloured the image with promarkers, chalk and glitter before cutting out and layering with nesties. Next I coloured some white lace with a promarker and tied it around the image before attaching to the front of the card with foam pads. I punched some leaves from the lilac card and then die-cut some poinsettias from silver mirri card and glittered handmade paper and added these to the front of the card after I put pearls in the centres. A few more pearls finishes the card off. Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

This week I have made another Christmas card to add to the pile which is growing by the week. I have used the gorgeous papers from Nitwit Collections (Simply Joys) again, these have fast become a favourite of mine. This one is called 'Oh Christmas Tree' and I have coloured it with promarkers and glitter. I punched a couple of stars, added a gem star and placed them on the small panel. Time for another Whoopsi Daisy challenge. This week the theme is 'Make Your Own Embellishments'. The fantastic prize is 2 Digi stamp sheets of choice from Whoopsi Daisy.

I started this card by covering my base card with this gorgeous plaid paper from the 'Simply Joys' kit at Nitwit Collections. (If you want some fantastic digi papers/scrapbook kits at very reasonable prices then head on over to their shop and take a look. Believe me, once you have seen them you will want to collect them all). Anyway, back to my card. Next I embossed some white card, tore it and applied glitter to the torn edge before attaching it to look like a snowy hill. The little cutie image has been coloured with promarkers, cut out and attached with foam pads for a bit of dimension. I made the snowflake using nesties and covered them in glitter before layering them and adding a gem. I saw the Teabag Tree on one of Jacqui's (Cat's Whiskers) cards recently and thought I would have a go as I thought it would be the ideal embellishment for this card. You can find her tutorial here, thanks Jacqui. I haven't done teabag folding for such a long time I had forgotten how much I enjoyed doing it. Finally I glittered a small foam snowman and put him in the corner. Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

Here is a card using another new Magnolia stamp that I have waited a long time for, isn't she so cute? I have coloured her with promarkers, chalk and a silver Sakura Stardust pen to add a bit of sparkle. I have followed the great sketch provided (although I turned it), and if you look very carefully at the bottom right of the image you will see I have made a bit of a corner in pink using a border punch. I finished the card simply with some silk flowers. Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

Following the great sketch I placed white card onto my black base card and onto this I covered half with some text paper. I covered the seam with a bit of scrap ribbon and then added another panel with tartan paper. I coloured the image with promarkers and a clear sakura stardust pen before attaching with foam pads. I then stamped a flourish in the corner before adding some recycled buttons to the tartan panel. Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

The type of cards I have the biggest problem with making are 'One Layer' and 'Clean & Simple' so I have tried to combine the two! Well, at least they are one layer and hopefully they are clean & simple. What do you think? Will they pass?

I had actually stamped and coloured the main image on these cards about 3 years ago and found them yesterday while having a sort out. Having found them I thought I had better finish them off. They have been coloured with Marvy Le Plume pens. I then stamped the sentiments directly onto the cards. Finally, I stamped and heat embossed the silver snowflakes but think I might have got carried away and done too many. Anyway, it's another three to add to the pile. Thanks for looking.

This week I have made an A5 card using one of my favourite WD images. First I covered the base card with various gorgeous papers from Bearly Mine. I then attached a doily that I distressed (you can just about see it). On top of this I added a border that I have punched, distressed and added ribbon to. I have coloured my image with promarkers and chalk, inked the edge and layered her with nesties. I then made a ribbon bow and added it to the top of the image before adding a button to the centre. I have wanted to make a 'new baby' card using this sweet digi stamp from Pollycraft ever since I saw it but never seemed to get the time. The base card is 'sky' patterned and has been hanging around so long I can't remember where it came from. Anyway, I then distressed and glittered some blue card and and attached it with D/S tape. Next I coloured the image with promarkers and glitter, distressed, inked and glittered the edge before layering with nesties. I then threaded organza ribbon through the holes around the edge before attaching with foam pads. I found a couple of teddy bear buttons in my stash which went nicely with the image. A circular sentiment finishes the card. Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

Another card, another new stamp. This time it is one of Sugar Nellie's Sherbert Pips called 'Candy Pip', isn't she a darling? I have coloured her with promarkers and layered her using nesties. Following the great sketch I applied strips of design paper to white card before attaching it to the base card. The gorgeous paper I have used is from the 'Pinky Swear' collection from Nitwit Collections. I punched and coloured some daisies adding card candi to the centres. Finally a simple stamped sentiment finishes the card off. Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

I thought I would show you one of the cards we made at craft club this week. I have altered the design as the original had the sentiment at the bottom and a red bow. When I saw the stamp I thought it would make an ideal children's card. The various layers have been die-cut, punched and embossed. I coloured the image with promarkers and glitter. Finally I attached the ribbon with a die-cut snowflake which I added a gem to. Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

I've waited a long time to get this gorgeous Tilda stamp so I was itching to ink it up straight away. I have coloured her with promarkers and layered her with nesties. I have matted and layered the base card following the great sketch. The strip going across the bottom has been punched with a border punch and I have added some spotty ribbon to it. I stamped out a butterfly, coloured it with promarkers and attached it to the strip. The fabric flowers were recycled from an old birthday card. To finish the card I added a couple of metal photo corners and some buttons. Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

For this card I followed the great sketch and started by covering the base card with this gorgeous paper from 'Fairytale Dreams' at Nitwit Collections. I then stamped some bunting directly onto the paper, coloured it with promarkers and added some 'glitter balls' made from die-cut snowflakes and pearls. The main image has been coloured with promarkers, pencils and glitter. I have also added diamond glaze to the glass, shoe, necklace and eyes. The sentiment has been stamped and layered using a nestie. To finish I added a silver metal fan and added a pearl. Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

Sorry I'm late posting this card but I got rather carried away sorting through all the household paperwork yesterday. It took a lot longer than I thought, couldn't believe how many years I had kept stuff!!!

This week's challenge at Lili Of The Valley is the theme 'Missing You' and Lisa and Laila have kindly donated a £10.00 voucher for one lucky winner to spend in the LOTV online shop. My card this week is very simple to make. I matted and layered the base card using red cardstock and this gorgeous paper from Nitwit Collections. As soon as I saw this paper I had to have it and doesn't it go so well with this stamp? The paper is from the 'Simply Joys' collection. I then added the image called 'Under The Mistletoe' which I had coloured with promarkers and layered before attaching with foam pads. I then stamped and layered the sentiment using nesties and added it to the card. Finally I coloured some card candi with a promarker and added it to the corners. Here is a quick Christmas card done quite simply by starting with a black base card. I then added a layer of gold mirri card followed by a layer of tartan paper. I then added a die-cut circle of gold pearl card followed by my sentiment. I embellished it with poinsettias punched from hologram and gold mirri card adding a gem to the centres. I hope this counts as 'metallic' and CAS. Either way, hope you like it, thanks for looking.

Time for another challenge at Whoopsi Daisy and this week we want you to get out all your gems, glitter, cosmic shimmers etc and 'Let's Bling It'. We want to see loads of sparkle! The DT have made some fantastic creations to inspire you.

All the layers and the base card is made from pearl cardstock. Following the great sketch I covered the base card with white pearl CS. I then added two pieces of CS that I had previously coloured with something shimmery, I can't remember what as they were done a long time ago. I then added a lilac glittery ribbon. The image has been coloured with promarkers and glitter. I then layered it up with nesties before attaching with foam pads. Next I tried to make some 'Aster' flowers with the punches I had available, again using pearl CS. I glittered the top layer and added some glittery gems to the centres. The punched leaves are silver mirri card. The butterflies are punched from blue vellum, glittered and pearls added to the bodies. I finished off with a stamped sentiment. Following the sketch I have made an easel card in my favourite pastel colours. The image is another of LOTV's 2nd Christmas release stamps (available 6th September) and is called 'Little Bears - Snowman', so cute! I have coloured the image with promarkers and glitter and added flock to their hats for texture. The backing papers have been distressed around the edge with distress inks. Both the sentiments and the large snowflake have also been distressed with inks and glittered. Having added a couple of ribbons (one on top of the other) I finished off with some pink card candi in the corners. Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

Here is a 'Back To School' I was asked to make for twins. Having layered up the base card with a few mats I then stamped a ruler to put across the bottom. I then added a pile of books using a great digi stamp. The main image came next and is coloured with promarkers, layered and attached with foam pads. Finally, a little stamped sentiment finishes this simple card. Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

I can't believe how much I like this card considering it is in traditional Christmas colours. I have used another of the gorgeous new stamps from the LOTV new release due out on 6th September. This little beauty is called 'Angelic Harp' and she is definately one of my favourites. I have coloured her with promarkers, glitter and flowersoft. The music is another of LOTV's stamps and has simply been stamped onto cream card. A beautiful organza ribbon and some brads finish the card off nicely. Hope you like it as much as I do, thanks for looking.

Today I have used another of the stamps from the LOTV 2nd Christmas release out on 6th September. This little cutie is called 'Little Bears - Snowman' and I have coloured it with promarkers, glitter and flock. Although I have followed the great sketch I have done something a little different this time with it. First I turned it, then I have used a die-cut fence, distressed and glittered, instead of the panel at the bottom of the sketch and stamped/embossed/glittered trees and snowflake instead of the panel/bow on the left of the sketch. I hope this is acceptable for the challenge as I was trying to create a bit of a scene. Anyway I'm calling it artistic licence and interpretation. The snowflakes have been punched from three different punches using white pearl vellum and I have added aqua shimmer dots to the centres to match the gorgeous paper. The sentiments have been stamped and glittered and cut with nesties as has the main image. Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

Today I have made a 15cm square box to use for a card with some rather large flowers on it (thankfully I don't have to post it). I don't make boxes very often as I'm not very good with the measurements, but my friend offered her expert advice and this is the result! I'm very pleased with it, thanks Terri!

Okay, so I covered the box lid with some digi paper, making sure I rounded the corners off first. I then cut a nestie label, embossed it and inked around the edges with a promarker. I then cut a smaller label, stamped the sentiment, inked the edges and placed this onto the larger one. Now comes the fun part of arranging the flowers and punched leaves, all attached with silicone glue. Finally I added some butterflies which I punched from blue vellum. That's it, hope you like it, thanks for looking.

I have made a simple easel card this week. I sat my beautiful fairy on the top of it gazing dreamily at the butterflies flitting amongst the flowers in the Autumn sunshine. I have coloured the fairy and butterflies with promarkers adding glitter to the fairy's wings. The sentiment is simply stamped with distress ink and layered with nesties. I have added pearls to the centres of the flowers and 'dew' to the petals using Diamond Glaze. Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

It is a sad day for everyone at Creative Inspirations as this will be our last challenge. Due to ill health and family issues Jude and Cheryl have decided to close the challenge blog. It has been both a privelage and a pleasure for me to work with such a friendly and inspiring team, thank you ladies. It would be so nice if you could all join us for our final challenge so that we can go out on a high.

This fortnight's challenge gives you three recipes to choose from -

(1) - Distress/Buttons/Bows
(2) - Shabby Chic/Pearls/Lace
(3) - Vintage/Ribbon/Flowers

As you can see I have done all three...

Card (1) For this one I have turned the sketch. I started this one by covering the base card with a piece of brown cardstock that I distressed the edges of. Next I added some digi paper which I tore the edges and distressed with chalks. The image/sentiment has been coloured with promarkers and the edges have been distressed too before layering with nesties. I used some gorgeous satin ribbon to tie a bow and added a rose. Finally I added a few buttons. I feel there is something missing from this one but can't put my finger on it.

Card (2) Following the sketch as it was I built the card up with layers of white cardstock and digi papers. The border down the middle has been punched and paper added. I have used three lengths of ribbon across the middle which I have added card candi to. The image has been coloured with promarkers and cut and layered with nesties. I sandwiched some gathered lace between the layers. Finally, I punched some butterflies from vellum, glittered the wings and added pearls to the bodies.

Card (3) For this one I have done a fold-back card. I added layered panels using pearl card and digi paper to the front and back. I then stamped some flourishes in the corners and added some flowers (you can see them better if you click on the picture to make it bigger). The image has been coloured again with promarkers and chalk and I have stamped flourishes around the edges before layering with nesties. The sentiment has been stamped, layered and coloured with chalks. Finally I added a bow made from three different ribbons.
