Father's Day

Finally I am back from the house renovations in Wales for a few days.  I was supposed to be going for 3 days and ended up staying for 10!!!  We have reached the point where the destruction stops and the construction starts so are pleased we have turned the corner at last.

Today I have made a card for Billy to give to his daddy on Father's Day.  Naturally the inspiration comes from the renovations and how proud my son is of his first attempt at bricklaying (he did a cracking job).

My background is a piece of embossed card I have recycled from the packaging that the folder came in.  I added some distress ink to highlight the bricks and die cut a wavy edge.  The planks of wood are wooden 'lolly' sticks, again with distress ink added.  I then used a bradawl to make some holes and added brads (nails) and a little hammer charm.  My gorgeous digi stamp is from Bugaboo and has been coloured with promarkers.  I made the rosette and stars with die cuts and added a fussy cut sentiment.
