Recycled/Upcycled Baskets

Here are a couple of baskets I have recycled/upcycled to store my smaller bits of ribbon in.  Both baskets originally had pot plants in them.  Having given them a good wash I then gave them a new coat of acrylic paint to match my craft room.  I then wound some gingham ribbon around the handle of the first basket and glued the ends in place.  On both baskets I then glued frilly gingham ribbon around the top edge.  To finish off I made some ribbon bows and added flowers.

  4. Beautiful way to store things and an awesome idea for recycling/upcycling. I have a couple of those same type of baskets that I never thought to use this way until now. Thanks so much for joining us at Catch the Bug Challenges.
