Another Monday and another challenge at Whoopsi Daisy.  This week we want to see 'Lots Of Layer' on your cards, nice and easy!  Don't forget to check out what my other lovely teamies made.

I decided to go with nice bright, summery colours for this card.  I have coloured my image with promarkers as usual.  The little strips have been punched with a border punch and ribbon attached.  Once I had attached them to the card I added some little bow buttons.  I made the flowers and leaves with punches and placed a metal flower brad in the centres.  Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

I Love Promarkers (126) - Sparkle
Digi Doodle (117) - Anything Goes

Thursday again and time for a new challenge at Lili's Little Fairies.  This week we want to bring you 'A Touch Of Romance', so let's see you all get lovey dovey this week.

I made this card a couple of weeks ago for a young girl who got married at the beginning of the month.  I wanted to make her a couple of cards that were different and having made a bookatrix (see older post), I decided to make this triple easel one as well.  Sorry about the rubbish pictures but it was hard to photograph.

I have coloured the image (I Do) with promarkers and added glitter for a bit of sparkle.  The middle layer has been stamped with a sentiment and I have added some punched leaves and flowers to the bottom.  I also added paper roses to the centre of the flowers.  The front panel simply has a stamped sentiment.  At the front I added a hearts and arrow silver cake decoration.  A few glittery gems around each panel finishes the card nicely.  Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

It's Monday again and time for another challenge at Whoopsi Daisy.  This week we want to see you 'Use Up Your Stash'.  So have a root around in your neglected stash and join in the fun, you might be suprised what you turn up.

Well, apart from the base card/stamps everything on my card was made from scraps lying on my work area and some neglected lace I found while re-organising all my lace.

To start my card I decided to follow the great sketch as it looked fun.  The gorgeous paper is from the new collection called 'Petal Fresh' at Nitwit Collections and has fast become a favourite of mine.  I added a punched border using D/S tape and sprinkled glitter all over it to get a blingy effect.  I coloured this gorgeous, sweet image with promarkers before distressing the edges and layering her onto a terracotta mat.  I did the same with the sentiment.  The butterflies are punched with pearl bodies.  The flowers are individual daisies cut from daisy lace which I came across already loose.  I also coloured these with a promarker and added aqua gems to the centres.  Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

Here is a little card I have made to depict Summertime.  That's a joke here in the UK as all we seem to get is wind and rain.  Anyway I started by layering my base card with cardstock and gingham digi paper.  Before placing red pearls in the corner I added a piece of red gingham ribbon.  I next made a panel using a scrap of paper out of my scrapbox and edging it with a bit of heart lace.  Next I coloured the image with promarkers and layered it before attaching with foam pads.  Well, that's it, quick and easy.  Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

Creative Card Crew - Swirls/Pearls
Passion For Promarkers (156) - Sketch
Crafty Ribbons (23) - Photo Inspiration
Stamp With Fun (169) - Favourite Stamps

I have so many stamps that are my favourites so it is very hard to pick just one.  Some of my favourites however are the 'Simply Adorables' by Sugar Nellie.  I love the way this one (Hope) looks deep in thought and she is a dream to colour.  As usual I have coloured her with my trusty promarkers and distressed with chalks before cutting and layering with nesties.  Following the great sketch I have added panels to the base card adding a punched border to one.  I have also used these fabby papers from Nitwits called 'Stuffed With Love', aren't they just gorgeous?  The swirl is die-cut while the flowers are punched.  A sentiment, bow and a few pearls finishes the card off nicely.  Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

Today I have an easel card to show you.  I have had this little cutie with her summer flowers for ages but never used her before, shame on me.  I have coloured her with promarkers and layered her with several mats cut from nesties.  For the main part I have followed the great sketch which I was itching to use, adding punched flowers and gems.  The circular sentiment was given to me for my birthday by a friend and is the first time it has seen ink.  The panel on the base part of the card has been punched and I have used a fancy tag to attach my sentiment to.  I am really pleased how this one turned out.  Hope you like it too, thanks for looking.

Lili's Little Fairies Challenge DT - Anything Goes

So sorry for the late posting of my DT card but I have been busy this week celebrating my retirement (yesterday).  I've even got a bus pass!!!  I guess I am now officially an OAP which is why I am sat here typing this in my jim jams and slippers, because I CAN!!!  Yesterday was certainly a day of mixed emotions saying goodbye to my colleagues and residents in the care home but also excited about starting a new chapter of my life.  They gave me a wonderful send off with loads of flowers, choccies etc.  We also had great fun when we went out to dinner last night, plenty of laughs were had by all.

Totally Papercrafts (124) - Here Comes Summer (Summer Wedding)
Catch The Bug - Anything Goes
Secret Crafter (193) - Use Pastel Colours
Stamp & Create - Handfull Of Love (Holding Each other)

We have a new challenge for you today at Lili's Little Fairies.  This week is the ever popular theme 'Anything Goes' so I hope you will all join in and show us your lovely creations.

A young colleague of mine is getting married on Saturday today and I was asked to make some cards for her.  I wanted to make a rather special one for her from all her team mates so did this Bookatrix and coordinating box.

For the card itself I used white and lilac pearl cardstock for the two bottom layers and simply edged them with silver peel-off borders.  The top layer is made with parchment paper.  First I printed a verse onto the parchment and heat embossed it quickly with white EP before cutting the shape out.  I then stamped and heat embossed the image.  Next I coloured the image with promarkers before dry embossing it and adding glitter to the veil.  (This part took weeks to do as my hands cannot hold the tools for longer than ten minutes at a time).  I then edged it with more peel-off borders and corners, finishing with a couple of hearts and rings on the verse side.  Once I had assembled the card I placed some gorgeous ribbon threaded lace down the centre.

I made a simple box for the card and decorated the top with a die-cut sentiment on top of layers cut with nesties.  I also added glitter to the sentiment.  The leaves and flowers have been punched and paper roses added to the flowers.  I have glittered the roses too.  Finally I added large silver peel-off corners and placed a gem on each one.  Hope you like this special card, thanks for looking.

Card Crafters Circle (29) - Construction Cards

This is a card I was asked to make recently for a young girl's 18th birthday.  The digi image has been coloured with promarkers and glitter with gems added.  The '18' key is a cake decoration which I also added gems to.  Although they show up black in the photo, the leaves have been punched from silver mirri card and I have added stickles to the roses.  The butterflies have also been punched.  The panels on the lower part of the card have been punched and a nice big ribbon and bow added.  Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

Here is a card I have made for the other friend at work who is leaving, hope she likes it.  Although I have followed the great sketch I have had to alter it slightly by swapping the banner and flowers over as it didn't quite work for me the other way.  Hope this is ok.  I have coloured the image and card candi with promarkers and chalk.  I have also added chalk to the banner.  The flowers and leaves have been punched and I have added resin roses to the centres.  Do you like the lace on the lower panel?  Isn't it stunning?  I bought it at our church fete on Saturday from the lady who makes cushions.  Needless to say I bought quite a bit and have been stroking it ever since.  Anyway, hope you like my card, thanks for looking.

ABC - S is for Suprise

Time for another great challenge at Whoopsi Daisy and it's one of my favourites.  Today we have a colour challenge for you, 'White On White'.  Well, OK, not a lot of colour, but we don't call it a challenge for nothing, so let's see what you can create.

I always love the 'white on white' look for wedding cards so that is what I have made.  Although there is not much colour, where there is I have used my trusty promarkers.  I have covered her dress in glitter and then went mad with it everywhere else.  The corners have been die-cut and underneath the flowers is a die-cut scroll even though you can hardly see it.  The roses are sat on punched flowers and the butterflies have been punched and die-cut too.  The bells at the top were made from 'friendly plastic' a long time ago using a cake decoration to make the mould first.  (One of the techniques I haven't done for ages but must do again sometime).  A sentiment, sparkly ribbon and gems finish the card off.  Hope you like it, thanks for looking.
